Even though some concerned birds recently advised the actress to concentrate more on her acting career than lobbing for ‘paid’ awards, it is obvious the actress have turned deaf ears to them as she was spotted at the Afro Hollywood Awards over the weekend in London where she bagged the best actress English language film.
Halima Abubakar was also in the house and she won best supporting actress 2011.

Sorry guys but someone urgently needs your help. I wasn’t online for two days, and when I logged in I got three mails from this same person. First it was her urgent problem, and then the second and third mail was about, ‘why don’t you want to do this favour for me, please I’m begging’. Even though I feel reluctant too, because I don’t like doing things people have started, but oh well, she is a reader of the blog, so I have no choice. But trust me guys, it is never a dull moment here, so I read her story and wrote it in my own words. And again, she says she promise to reply most of the comments and even answering more questions via the comment section. Feel free to send me anything, just by anything you want to feature on this blog on firstname.lastname@example.org. And thank you once again for finding us worthy. We are so glad. Please click read more to read her story.

A serving member of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) has passed on after several rounds of s*exual bout in his girlfriend’s house in Benin City.
The news came as a rude shock to residents and family members to the late corps member who was earlier posted to Jigawa State but returned to Edo State to continue the one year mandatory service because of the killings in the North.
His girl friend who is in her mid 20s and a student of Shaka Momodu Polytechnic revealed that after hanging out with her Corper lover also in his 20s, he took alcohol and some suya and she accompanied him to a local dealer to buy an undisclosed drug before going to bed.
It was indeed devastating news last week after a long celebration in the home of Alhaji Adamu Garba Ibeto, the newly elected Chairman of Magama Local Government. The politician who is also, a cousin to the present Deputy Governor of Niger State, Alhaji Musa Ibeto, was found stone dead in his bedroom at his house in Ibeto. Alhaji Ibeto, was one of the 24 new local government chairmen recently sworn in by the Niger State Governor, Aliyu Babangida on September 13, 2011. All through the period, he was hale and hearty until two weeks ago when a story broke out that the man had died. However, series of speculation and rumors have started flying around concerning his death but one thing according to close sources is that, they met some portion of local herbs believed to have high concentration of alcohol by his bedside. Though, official statement has not been made yet but Dr. Muazu Babangida has instituted an inquiry to find out the cause of his death. The deputy chairman has since been sworn-in as the chairman of the local government.

My name is Femi Lawal, a publicist and music business entrepreneur. The Co-founder of Mega Points International (Africa's First Independent A&R/Promotion Company).
There was a broadcast going round among the black berry users in Nigeria with accusations against Ovie of NotJustOk, the leading music download portal in Nigeria. After reading few of the comments on the publication on this blog and series of other accusations from independent artistes and music promoters on BBM, i felt i should read a release on this issue.
Thanks to Ladun for granting me this opportunity to have my say.
It has been quite a battle between some artistes, music promoters, managers and Ovie of notjustok.com. According to the above mentioned people who have teamed up as a group, are accusing the notjustok.com boss of being partial about the songs on his website. ‘He promotes the songs of his friends online and hardly welcomes any upcoming artiste who does not belong to his clique’, a music promoter said. The message which was spread across BB yesterday reads thus;
@Ovie of notjustok.com is a fucked, stupid and useless guy. He is playing politics and cliq fing. Why should we the poor then patronize him, if he can’t post the up and coming stars on his website for the whole world to see. There wld be a change soon, if we can work hand in hand 2 tackle this issue.

Justice Yetunde Idowu of an Ikeja High court, this morning, ordered the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency, NDLEA, to release Babatunde Omidina, popularly known as Baba Suwe, on bail by Friday 4 November, 2011, if he fails to excrete the suspected narcotic substance he allegedly concealed in his stomach. The judge made the order while ruling on the application filed by Omidina’s lawyer, Bamidele Aturu, for the enforcement of his fundamental human rights.
After listening to the arguments of counsel from both sides, Justice Idowu noted that the NDLEA should have released Omidina immediately but for a Federal High Court order which empowered the agency to hold him till Friday.
“The only thing hindering me from releasing the applicant today is because of the Federal High Court order of 20 October. I don’t want to meddle with that order. But if he (applicant) does not excrete the suspected substance he is accused of harbouring in his stomach by Friday, NDLEA should release him on bail,” she said.
I don’t know if you have seen this before? If you have, please move on to the next post. I just saw it and I must say may this never happen to anyone of us. A VERY big AMEN.
This is a story about a wedding that took place recently. It was a huge wedding with over 300 guests. After the wedding at the reception, the groom got up on stage and took the microphone to talk to the crowd. He said he wanted to thank everyone for coming, many from long distances, to support them at their wedding. He especially wanted to thank the bride’s and groom’s families for coming and to thank his new father-in-law for providing such a fabulous reception. To thank everyone for coming and bringing gifts and everything, he said he wanted to give everyone a special gift from just him. Taped to the bottom of everyone’s chair (even the chairs of the wedding party) was a manila envelope.
