Bianca Takes The Lion Share of Ojukwu’s Estate

The will of the late Ikemba Nnewi, Chief Chukwuemeka Odumegwu-Ojukwu, was on Friday presented to the family with his widow, Bianca, getting the lion’s share.

The presentation by the Chief Registrar of the Enugu High Court, Mr Dennis Ekoh, was witnessed by Bianca, Mr Val Nwosu, Ojukwu’s first cousin, and Mr Mike Ejemba.

In the will, the late Ojukwu identified one Tenny Haman as one of his children.
Ojukwu listed the children as Tenny Haman, Chukwuemeka Jnr, Mmegha, Okigbo, Ebele, Chineme, Afam and Nwachukwu.

The Ikemba gave the Casabianca Lodge at 7 Forest Crescent, GRA, Enugu, two property at Jabi and Kuje in the FCT as well as all his money and personal effects to his widow.

He also said that Bianca should replace him as the trustee in the family company, Ojukwu Transport Ltd, while also giving her two plots of land in his village at Nnewi. He, however, added that if she re-married, the land should be taken away from her.

The first son, Emeka Jnr., got the family house at Nnewi, while the newly mentioned daughter, Tenny Haman, got the Jubilee Hotel located in Zaria, Kaduna State.

The Biafran warlord also shared other landed property in the village among all his children.

Ojukwu listed the trustees and executors of the will to include Bianca, Emeka Jnr and Mr James Chukwuneme.

Reacting to the will, Bianca, who is Nigeria’s Ambassador to Spain, expressed satisfaction with its contents.

“It was a fair will. This time round, he did not disappoint us,’’ she said.

The ambassador, however, expressed shock at the disclosure of a new daughter in the family, whom she said had never been mentioned by her husband.

None of Ojukwu’s children was present at the presentation of the will.

A man who claims to be Ojukwu’s first son has already filed a legal action in a Lagos court on the will.

Chief Debe Odumegwu Ojukwu who claimed to be the eldest child of the late Ojukwu had slammed a N100 million suit on his father’s widow, Bianca and six others, accusing them of preventing him from managing his estate.

In the suit filed before a Federal High court in Lagos, Chief Debe alleged that the defendants prevented him from performing the dust to dust rites during the burial of his father and also prevented him from managing his estate.

Also joined in the legal battle are Ojukwu Transport Limited, Professor Joseph O. Ojukwu, Engineer Emmanuel N. Ojukwu, Mr. Lotanna Ojukwu, Emeka Ojukwu, Mr. Patrick Ojukwu, Mrs. Margret Mogbo, Nee Ojukwu, the Inspector-General of Police and Mr. Ibrahim Mukhtar, former Commissioner of Police Anambra State, now an Assistant Inspector-General of Police.

Even if he had 5 children by you, and each child got 1 item in the will, still too much left to you. I smell a big disgusting rat. Greedy igbo bitch. No igbo man will leave ALL his money to a woman that can remarry and spend it with the next man. Igbo men are allergic to such bs. This just upsets me

Ladun that is a mischievous statement, she was his wife till he died & nobody heard anything about her not having performed her wifely duties to the end. We women are our own worst enemies because you are sounding like the share was scandalous & not supposed to be...before you know it, you will be first to report how widows are badly treated (if she didn't receive a dime from his estate)

My life and that of my children is way more important than any material wealth....if they kill me now, the money will remain here with no one to spend it.... Men should stop all these messy way of living so everyone can be at peace when they go. One man one wife and all the children from both parties so everything in the will is for the woman and the children left behind or vice versa. This is just too complicated and dangerous for any woman to be going thru. She is insane

We shouldn't generalize every older-younger relationship as one person being a victim/prey of the other .....

    8. Madam 20.26, Ojukwu was always a made man. I don't think Bianca married him for money though. She's always expressed her desire to marry an older man. Her friends also confirmed Bianca's really an old woman in a young, fine woman's body. She was said not to feel confortable with young men and their gragra.

I think I would prefer to marry an older man too. They know how to pamper one and give little stress.

  19. Thing is you all that are against Bianca getting the Lion share should put yourself, your sisters or even your mothers in her shoe. Would you have expected them to get any thing less? Y'all should be realistic and tell yourselves the truth and don't react differently because it's someone else.
And from what i learnt, Ojukwu asked for her hand in marriage and she agreed (even though i heard he used diabolical means, not sure though). But whatever her reasons were for going into the marriage is no ones's business at least she stood by him.

And for the misinformed people, Bianca's father was a very wealthy man so she didn't marry Ojukwu because of his money.

    1. Oh yeah? put ourselves in her shoes?. She should also put herself in the shoes of the mothers who had the children before hers. Bianca married Ojukwu for money, power and fame - period
Yes her father was a rich an but he was not ready to bankroll her ostentatious lifestyle she adopted after winning the crown then, afterall she was not d man's only child, he had sent her to school and all that and i dont even see an Igbo man spending so much on a girl child, so d education was more than enough, then supporting her high profile lifestyle wld have bn a jara but d man was not ready!
Ojukwu gave her d power, d money, d fame
is it not obvious - he was still on his sick bed when she got her 1st appointment, and stl cold n d morgue when she was appointed as another ambassador
so bn CCOnoh's daughter wld have given her d fame and popularity she has today bah???? i beg that one na story

Ojukwu started dating Bianca when she was the MBGN. If she didn't go off with him, she would still have been popular wherever she ended up. She didn't marry Ojukwu for fame.

When she was in Law school, Ojukwu bought her a brand new Santana and her father did better than that and bought her a brand new V Boot. She rejected it and took the VW Santana.

Her job in the government was facilitated by Peter Obi. Her husband didn't want her to have anything to do with a PDP government. She's so smart and calculating that she was already thinking of her life after Ojukwu. This so called power, she is doing it on her own and not because of Ojukwu.

Ojukwu was controversial in death and in life. It's the same way his Dad Sir Odumegwu Ojukwu caused bedlam after he died with his estate. They are still fighting till today.

His other properties including Villaska Lodge and Hawksworth Road (the old JAMB office back in the day. I don't know if they are still there) are under the OTL and as she's now going to represent him on that board, his intention was for all those properties to go to her. But OTL is in court and it will be a long drawn battle.

Did someone say she hooked him diabolically? If you knew Ojukwu, he was diabolical with a capital "d" himself!

I can believe that he wrote this will because that's how zany he was and he loved Bianca to death, more than she even loved him.

In all, so many women will attest to the fact that he was a real "knacker" in bed and extremely romantic. Who knows maybe that's what got Bianca hooked. Power, money and fame definitely didn't get her hooked. Her father left her a large chunk of his estate. Her office and shop in Enugu are owned by her Dad. Either way, she's sorted for life.

This will go on and on because his brothers, children mentioned and not mentioned will ensure it continues the same way Sir Ojukwu's estate is still in contention.

Most people knew the Hamman lady as his child because she looks like him. How he kept this from her is baffling. Most village properties have little or no value. I dare say that Nnewi houses have good value because it's not so much a village. Debe and his Dad never got on in his lifetime. Even CO Jnr fell out with him long ago. There's so much more but i don't have the time and space.

  32. Its so funny that the money and properties of the late DIM should cause ripples amongst his wife and children. Come to think of it, Ojukwu made a name for himself and also acquired what he owned by his efforts. It is true he came from a wealthy family, but he did not thrive under the shadow of his father. If his so called children think they have guts like their father, they should stop squabbling over his propertie but should go hustle out for their own.
