Photos: Patience Jonathan Weeps As She Visits Mrs Amina Yakowa

Patience Jonathan, wife of Nigeria’s President wept in Kaduna yesterday when she paid a condolence visit to Mrs Amina Yakowa, wife of Gov. Patrick Yakowa, who died in a helicopter crash on Sunday.

“I am sorry I am crying because I am a woman; I know what she (Amina) is passing through. It’s quite unfortunate that we lost a peaceful and supportive man, a man who was always filled with joy.
"My only advice to you my friend is that you should take heart, have faith in God because only God can comfort and protect you and your kids", the first lady said.

    1. Dude! wake up! Indians, Chinese, Bulgarians & other small countries use their local languages officially. Africa! I pity my continent! Ignorant people like you dont even understand ur mother tongue let alone using it. I pity u! Onyibo don finish ur small brian. Is English ur language?

    2. Nigeria's official language is English. Except you were born in the village then your first language was probably your ethnic tongue. Some people were even born in villages and their first language was English. Don't compare non-English speaking countries like Bulgaria to Nigeria. Chinese is an international language according to the United Nations. Mrs GEJ was a teacher and a civil servant and by now she should be fluent in English. If not they should try polishing her up which they are doing and she's trying.

    6. Hope say una know say our English still carry our Local Accent? so therefore English is not and should never be our official Language... I would rather settle for the Pijeon English because of the cultural diversity in Nigeria

  2. I bet she's wearing her usual heavy embroidery and chunky gold jewellery under that scarf

That's how she went to cry at Turai's feet and five minutes later was laughing hysterically at her mumu husband's swearing in ceremony.

I'm waiting for your curses o, Femi Oponu.

  8. She knew how it felt like. Hymm, was she a widow before getting married? Can't people get her simple error? A widow as per my fellow widows. She can easily shake the tears off with vodka or kain-kain?

She does not understand that when you go on a mourning visit it should be without flashy clothes. Who is her stylist?

    4. Leema there's more to life than all those things. Also, what if she's made the Deputy Governor as they are touting? If not, she will go back to being a private citizen which to me is better than all this life of politics. Life goes on.

    6. Sammy you are a childish troublesome boy, what is wrong in what Leema commented. Be mature for once and stop insulting people . The truth is it is never easy for any widow, same applies to the former 1st lady of Kaduna state, even Maryam Abacha said ow people, psycophants and all changed towards her the moment she lot her husband, her world was exposed , she felt exposed because her husband was no more. Whether you like to hear it or not humans don't fond drastic change easy even your sorry self can't comprehend loosing a spouse and your comfort stripped off all at once, immaturity is bad o, brain development is important. The people chanting that they should make her a deputy understand that she needs power and security, or else why will they say so or is he the most qualified in the state? Grow up you don't need to insult people calling them Aids victim. A real man wouldn't even do what you do. Have you seen an Aids patient ? Please repent soon.

  11. Madam Patience mind your choice of words. how can you know how she feels when you have never been a widow? Yes! you are a woman no one disputes that. Plus, that's all there is to it. You can make that statement once you lose a husband and have countless of responsibilities to keep up with. But 4 now, sympathise with them as you should. RIP Yakowa really sad...
