How to Have a Successful Marriage – Foluke Daramola

g
1. Olympic Spirit Olympic spirit is the spirit of competition. It has crept into many marriages where couples who are supposed to work as partners are working as rivals. Lovers now work as foes. They compete about building their own houses, buying cars and about winning the love of their children.

Solution: You are partners, don’t compete. You are lovers, don’t fight. You are companions, work in unity. Don’t ever see each other as competitors but as companions.

2. Lovelessness Husbands are commanded by God to love their wives and not be bitter against them. “Husbands love your wives and be not bitter against them”. Colossians 3:19. Love for your wife should be deep in your heart. When you allow her love to depart, you are making room for a difficult marriage.

Solution: Love your wife and don’t compare her with to any other woman. Verbalize the love. Tell her “I love you” often. Show the love to her by getting her gifts and give her your undivided attention.

3. Disunity Not walking as one, no fondness, divided house is the end result of so many negative things in marriage. United we stand, divided we fall. There is no place this saying is more true than in marriage.

Solution: Walk in love, walk as one. Stand together, stand as one. Stand in unity. Join your hands together, join your mind also. Have the same voice, the same vision, the same focus and the same destination.

$100,000 Prize for Any One that Kills the Filmmaker of Prophet Mohammed's Movie

The Pakistani Railways Minister Ghulam Ahmed Bilour offers a $100,000 bounty for the death of the maker of anti-Islam video, Mr Nakoula Basseley Akoula.

As protests continue in Pakistan, a government minister has offered a $100,000 bounty for the death of the maker of the anti-Islam film produced in the US that has sparked violent protests across the Muslim world.

Railways Minister Ghulam Ahmed Bilour on Saturday also invited members of the Taliban and al-Qaeda to take part in what he called a "noble deed".

"I announce today that this blasphemer who has abused the holy prophet, if somebody will kill him, I will give that person a prize of $100,000," he said. - Al Jezeera TV!

Should Husbands Pay Wives For Managing The Home?

This is one question that keeps cropping up again and again. I was single when I read something along the same lines after an American survey some years ago and now I'm reading it as a housewife. This time, the Union Women and Child Development Ministry in India is preparing a draft Bill that would entitle housewives a monthly income from their husbands. Of course, all the debaters are out again in force.

Personally, I believe it is important to recognize the work women do at home, especially as in most cases they carry a disproportionate burden of chores. Wives and moms are usually satisfied by the gratitude and happiness of their husbands and children, as well as the peace and progress of their families, but where the outcome is not so positive, then what? Maybe it makes sense to reward her in cold hard cash. Please click to continue.

GOV. AMOSUN: Ogun State NSF Gold Medallist, Babatunde Okunade Needs Urgent HELP

I am Babatunde Okunade a native of Isaga Orile, under Abeokuta North Local Govt. Ogun State. A radio presenter and also a cricketer with national repute who represented Ogun State with a lot of laurels. I had a motor accident on 29th of August 2010, which involved my left arm. Since then the arm was not okay for me to use, I started feeling more pain early this year. I was given two options.  1). To either travel abroad for better surgery or 2). My left arm amputated.

According to him, his association wrote a letter before now to the State Government but got no reply. So he has decided to write a personal one to the Gov. (Gov. Amosun), hoping he will get a reply, but they are yet to reply him too. He won two Gold medals and one silver medal for Ogun State in National Sports Festival from 1998-2002 and many more awards. And he is only asking for #1,749,025.00 for a surgery abroad. I saw this on another news platform but decided to bring it here because I know someone will see it and inform him. I also spoke to Mr Babatunde this morning and he is yet to hear from his Excellency. He said he had a surgery in July in India, and they asked him to come back on the 26th of October for the second phrase which will make the surgery complete and let him live a normal life again. I trust my State Gov to act fast on this. Senator Amosun won’t ignore this. Please click to continue.

Adult male and female circumcision a good idea?

YES: I agree that is a good idea for adult circumcision to be an elective surgery because it is just like any other plastic surgery in my eyes but as far as the surgery itself is concerned, I don't think there is anything wrong with it. Any surgery presents risks, and every person is given all the information about what could go wrong before they get any surgery. If a grown man or woman is uncomfortable with still having his/her foreskin and would like it removed, I think that is his/her right. Afterall women all over the world get plastic surgery every day.

NO: No it’s not really the best idea to have adult circumcision because this is a more painful way of doing things. When you have a male or female baby that is being circumcised this is a much less painful process compared to an adult male or female. Adults will take a lot longer to recuperate from this procedure and it will be much more painful. It is painful for a baby but nowhere near what an adult would experience.

What's your Opinion?
