TB Joshua 2013: Politicians, Rich & Famous Men Will Become Helpless! Also Young People Should Stop Travelling Abroad and Invest in Agriculture

One of the highlights of the new year in Nigeria is the deluge of prophesies by popular pastors. These prophesies make the headlines of newspapers and tabloids then are referenced all through the year if and when incidences occur.

The pastor of one of the fastest growing pentecostal churches in Nigeria, SCOAN – The Synagogue, Church Of All Nations, Pastor T.B Joshua ushered in the New Year with a special service at the church’s headquarters in Lagos, Nigeria.

Here is an account of his prophesies;

Loud applause heralded Joshua’s arrival in the service, and he went straight into the prophecy for the year, stating that people wished to hear the mind of God for the upcoming year.

(Unpleasant) Surprises for Famous, Popular and Rich Men including Politicians
“2013 is a year of surprises. I am seeing many great, famous, popular and rich men and politicians will become helpless and in need of help in matters of sickness, disease, finances, death, etc,” he said in the service broadcast live on the popular Christian station Emmanuel TV. “One of the causes, they have failed to reward those who helped them to succeed. This is the year of judgement  especially for politicians who use youth to support their political ambitions without reward after winning power.”

Farming will Flourish
Joshua then proceeded to celebrate the future of farming, claiming that providence would favour those who engaged in it this year. “Those in the foodstuff business will have a field day this year. Farming and agriculture will be the order of the day and will help greatly to be the source of solution this year. People engaged in it will be greatly blessed.”

Joshua was emphatic in his conviction that such actions would reap great rewards, stating it was a secret God had revealed to him. “Foodstuff business and agriculture or farming are anointed businesses this New Year, to revive the world from economic depression. This is the secret of God revealed to you today. Quote me; you will not regret doing it. My name is T.B. Joshua.”

Message for Young People – Stop Travelling Abroad and Invest in Agriculture
Joshua, speaking to the thousands who had gathered in his church to usher in the New Year, counselled young people who spent vast resources of energy, time and finances in the pursuit of foreign travel to rather invest in agriculture. “They will achieve greatness by transacting in agriculture and foodstuff and become successful in export and import business.”

Message for Couples & Prospective Entrepreneurs
He further advised couples dissatisfied with their current occupations to allow one of them to pursue a career in agronomy. “Those who have been working for many years and have never been satisfied with the job and salary they receive, the little limited resources at their disposal should be invested in foodstuff business or agriculture, especially those already married. They should divide themselves in such a way that either the husband or wife should step down from service where they receive salary and face agriculture.”

Answered prayers for couples “seeking for the fruit of the womb”
He proclaimed that faithful Christians would receive answers to prayers, especially in the area of couples seeking for the fruit of the womb.

Be Charitable!
Joshua called on people to engage in charitable activities, especially in provision of scholarships to deserving young people. “Share their pain and share their joy. This year, there is great reward in doing this if you do it with all your heart.”

Natural Disasters & Accidents
Additionally, Joshua predicted that natural disasters would continue to abound, alongside accidents on land, sea and air.

Stop Praying against your Enemies
He concluded by advising people to stop the habit of praying against enemies. “Stop praying against those who hurt you. This year, you will see clearly that God is God of vengeance. Instead, you should pray for them.“

More Prophesies to Come
Joshua stated that he would be revealing further prophetic messages for the international community and world leaders in subsequent services. He then prayed for the congregation, including the thousands who had gathered in huge overflow tents outside, decreeing that 2013 would be a year where ‘new dreams come true’ for genuine Christians.

    1. Due to global warming the sea levels have been rising consistently but unlike the western world who implement mitigating and preventative measures Africans pray for the best hoping God will help them while they are not helping themselves so inevitably natural disasters ie flooding. Even I can predict that..

†̥ђε̲̣̣̣̥ prophecies are so vague, natural disasters are what must happen, some politicians are suffering misfortunes already so that whats new?

Agriculture ko! Why didn't he withdraw his kids from foreign schools which I am sure they attend to come farm in Nigeria.

Until his prophecies are specific, I consider them fake..

dont pity him yet wait till he starts distributing cvs for a couple of years after graduation and they ask him to bring 15 years experience…
be waiting for tb joshua to send his children to nigeria on your say so while you and several millions of jobless nigerian graduates are waiting for non existent white collar jobs..even without his prediction its common sense to realise that every graduate will not work in an office and only a country with a thriving small and medium business can ever survive economically…why won't banks be prostituting young girls when everyone will rather open their legs for any lecherous old man to dive in rather than indulging in a small and medium biz that will add value to the economy..

after i graduated here in uk yrs ago, everyone told me that a foreign degree is a guarantee of a good job in nigeria, now things have changed they said you have to have masters thats why i have decided i am going into business on my own whenever i move to nigeria no matter how small…. come and see how many nigerians are studying for different masters postgrad degrees in uk and all of them are still going back to nigeria to seek for jobs lets see how your unilag, oau, ibadan poly certificate will compare near them

  14. It is like stating the oblivious, in that case I can make my own predictions. Am not a pastor but listen to my words of wisdom and take heed. Many babies will be born this year, many people both young and old will die this year, many young people will get jobs, many will be promoted, many nigerians will also lose their jobs. There will be peacekeeping in Africa and It will take the lives of Nigerian soldiers. Politicians will still embezzle money this year. Nonsense predictions mine will come to pass watch.

  15. Sometimes I feel ill at ease when I read the comments of some blog topics.... The state of mind of certain people just keep degenerating, I don't know if its the state of the nigerian economy or its poverty or its just plain negative attitude to everything which is typical to we nigerians. Its a pathetic case. Sometimes u need to go beyond analysing every situation including the ones that are basic and have no deep meanings attached to it. May God help us all where we are lagging.
