DISASTER: 5 Kids of the Same Parents Burnt To Death in their Home

Five children of the same parents were yesterday night burnt to death in a fire incident that consumed their home at E36, Fakere Street, Kakuri, Kaduna State, North west Nigeria.

An eyewitness, Steve Akerele said the fire started in one of the rooms where the father of the children, Mohammed Okene, a local petroleum marketer, kept some petroleum products.

The man had gone to St. Gerald General Hospital to see his wife and mother of the children, who put to bed through a caesarean operation, when the fire broke out.

According to him, the fire had engulfed the whole room before neighbours put it out and rushed the children to the hospital. One of them died instantly and this morning, it was confirmed that the remaining four had died.

While Mohammed had gone home to see the extent of damage, the mother of the children has not been informed of the tragedy.

  7. Oh God! Inna lillah wa inna illaehi rajiun!!

Where the kids locked inside the house? It's good to have a nice support system (trusted family members, friends etc.)Parents should never lock young kids alone in the house especially at night. Your neighbour's gen might catch fire and set the whole house ablaze or anything could trigger a fire especially in this Nigeria where people aren't so careful.

God console their parents and may the newborn live long and be more than just one child for the parents (Amen).

A house with children and in the same house petroleum products were kept in a room. Why didn't he have a detached store to keep them or is he a bunkerer?

    Who does that?

Five kids died and they just had a sixth by Caesarean? Hmmm

    May they rest in peace.

  16. That is pathetic, a generation has gone. But on a normal structural planning industries are not to be built within residential area, our government would not implement it.
