Aww This Will Make You Love Ex-Vice President A. Abubakar As He Explains Why His Son Will Be Having A Dubai Wedding
I just like the fact that he is trying to make his life an open book, lol. But seriously, this will make you love him more. Btw, congrats Abba. His words;
Sometime in January, I was in London on business, and my children quickly arranged a trip to the Emirates Stadium for me. It was to emerge later that it was not a hastily arranged event, but a well planned outing, put together by children of a businessman and politician.
It turned out that my son, Abba, who was appointed to be my escort to the event, was the primary reason why the event was set up in the first place. Abba had a major announcement to make, and it was that while he was away fro home in America, he had found a lady he loved, and would love to bring her home as wife. I thought that was great news.

You have given me moments that I will cherish for the rest of my life.

“Sanusi has no respect for the office of the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria and carried on as if he is a law unto himself. The fact that he is a prince does not confer a special statue on him; he is not above the president. Even monarchs are still under the head of state.”

BON: How did you feel when you heard the death of Jim Iyke’s mother?
Habiba: Well I didn’t feel good but knowing her fully well, her death is a rest to herself, she has suffered enough.
BON: Your NGO helped her in the past? To what extent was your help to her?
Habiba: Well, I first took her to London for a complete medical check up. She had high blood pressure, high Cholesterol and needed knee replacement, as they said in UK. See copy of her medical report (c/o me). Her consultant suggested that her knee replacement should not take place till she is strong because she was very week. So we allowed her to rest, she stayed in my house for five days then I dropped her at Manchester in her daughters place.

While celebrating this year’s International Women’s day at the Police College in Ikeja on Thursday, the Lagos State first lady warned in her speech that people should stop attributing women’s success to s*xual relationships with their male bosses at work. She said;
“This year’s theme, ‘Equality for women is progress for all,’ is very apt; women should not be prevented from doing the things that they are qualified and equipped to do simply because they are women. Unfortunately when a woman rises fast to a certain height, her proficiency in the said field is ignored. Rather, various unpalatable premises are brought to the fore as reasons for her success. Nigerians should stop alluding a woman’s success to s*xual relationships with her bosses because we don’t do that to men.”
A former Abia State governor, Orji Kalu, has described the on-going National Conference in Abuja as a home to old men who do not have the strength to decide the future of the nation. Speaking at the Centenary Lecture organised by the Oyo State branch of the Nigeria Union of Journalists, Kalu, who delivered a lecture titled, ‘Nigeria: A Nation in Quest of Credible Leadership’, said Nigeria would not move forward unless the first generation leaders withdrew gradually from politics.
He said, “The present crop of leaders seems to be failing the nation and the people are becoming increasingly doubtful if indeed we have leaders. To worsen matters, the first generation leaders are still mostly the ones calling the shots. If you go through the National Conference delegates’ list, you will be amazed by the number of men in their 80s still trying to determine the type of future that is suitable for the millennium generation. What fresh ideas can these sleepy old men offer on the way forward? There can be no credible leadership until these men begin to gradually withdraw and allow the younger generation to take charge.”

I have known him in a professional capacity for close to fourteen years and I relate well with him in the few instances we have met and had discussions. Tchidi has a burning desire to make a change in Nollywood, to shoot movies which somehow should re-calibrate society's moral journey. I particularly love some of his movies for the uncanny way he brings out everyday characters in simple lifestyles and turn them to complex evolutionary beings in complex situations. As a movie director and a scriptwriter, Tchidi is gifted. Very gifted. Take it from me.

The passer-by also demanded to see what the suspect had in the cellophane bag with him, but he declined and made to flee before the man forcefully tore it only to find different human parts.

Here’s what the actress said when she spoke about violence against women to YES Magazine;
African men are too harsh! They are too harsh. African men are harsh and violent. An English man would never beat his wife because their law forbids it. Then, I must say that if there is a penalty for it, stating that whoever beats his wife would be jailed, I’m sure this will reduce. But since there is no law and no one is preaching against it, everybody feels it is a normal thing. Even if we say there is a law, it is not being implemented as it should, because if it had, all these won’t happen. I think there should be a capital punishment for it because to me, it is a terrible act.
