In an exclusive interview with Punch, Nollywood actress, Iyabo Ojo revealed her fashion weakness and her infamous ‘she-devil make-up’ she now admits is a mistake. Here’s what she told the newspaper;
What is your weakness when it comes to fashion?
I would say perfumes and shoes. I have over 50 bottles of perfumes and they are all designers while I have about 200 pairs of shoes; I have actually lost count of how many shoes I own. I know how it sounds but I am a shoe freak, it could be high or low, it could be slippers, sandals or sneakers depending on what I am wearing. I love shoes generally and I just can’t stop buying them. I also love my perfumes.
What is the most laughable fashion mistake you have ever made?
There was a period that I used to wear what was referred to as the ‘she-devil make-up’, it is when you have to draw a very long line on your eyebrow and you draw it up at the end. I used to do that type of make-up but now when I see my old pictures where I was on that make-up, I just laugh. I ask myself if I actually did that. I think things like that change with age and time.
Yes, a president broke my heart. The relationship I had with the president is a long story. I fell in love with him because he was attentive and mature. In fact the relationship made me mature. It’s not easy dating a president. I am even working on a movie based on that experience. Since dating the president, I found it difficult to date an ordinary person.
Bless me father for I have sinned. My last confession was two days ago. Father, I am an entertainer and I have been lying to my fans for many years. Really? Tell me about these lies my son. Father, where do I start from? The lies are so many that I don’t know where to start. Go ahead son, you start from anywhere, the Lord is listening.
Father, I lied that I was signed by a foreign record label. I also lied that I am a brand ambassador of one of the telecommunication firms. Whereas I was only paid to make the jingle and later feature on the TV commercial. I also lied to the public that my album sold six million copies. My son, why all these lies? Father, I am not the only liar in the industry. We are all liars. Lying is part of the job’s description. Are you serious? Yes father, I am being very frank with you. My lies are even mild compared to some of my colleagues.

Clarion Chukwura who has since crawled out of her shell and has been hard lately on people she feels need to be told the truth, have taken on entertainers going into politics. Clarion says there’s no two ways to it and the only reason for their venture into their new found interest has something to do with money.
“The motive of those who are embracing partisan politics is purely monetary. Let us call a spade a spade. If you tell me that you want to go into politics to serve the people, I would want to look at your record first.
“I want to see what you have done to better the lives of the people in your immediate community. How many boreholes have you sunk in the community? How many hours of community service have you given for free over the last four or five years? Lagos Lawyer Festus Keyamo has condemned the swift response the Federal Government gave to the former Governor of Bayelsa, when he lost his son last weekend in Dubai. According to Keyamo, the Federal Government has paid little or no attention to the call of Mrs Falode, who urged the Government to please intervene in the killing of her young son, who was pushed to his death from a high-rise apartment in Dubai.
“Up till this minute, the Federal Government has not issued a single statement calling on the U.A.E authorities to fish out the killers of Toba Falode. The Federal Government has played the ostrich in the case of Toba, leaving the mother and family grieving alone. The question is, with the swift response in the case of Oyamuyefa Alamieyeseigha, does the Federal Government value the lives of some of its citizens more than others?”, Festus Keyamo asked in a statement released by him today.
He however urged the Government to still look into the killing of Toba Falode, a young Nigerian schooling in Dubai who was murdered on February 15th in the country.

“There are people around us who will not stop trying #ish. You call a tete a tete and ask really what the problem is and they swear by all heavens they have no issues with you and try to tell you it’s in your mind, but at every turn you all but fall into a ditch they dug or a set up they spurn. You then apologize for whatever it is that causing them the annoyance and inducing such a reaction towards you but they keep coming at you relentlessly with new improved bull *ish. You avoid them, stop all interactions but they mistake your silence for weakness.
Who are these people? They are those who spin tales to color you bad at your job, those who carry falsehood to the paparazzi, those who blinded by jealousy and the “who she think say she be syndrome” make it a priority on their agenda to put you in a poor light. Those that keep coming at you , coming at your family (the relentless side chick) or coming at your children (big mistake on their part) and all the constant annoyances that keep digging at your heels.
