Gov Ahmed Denies Rift with Saraki Over Eid Attack, Also Says Saraki Not In Control Of Kwara’s Finance
The Governor with the Senate president
The Kwara State Governor, Alhaji Abdulfatah Ahmed has rejected as false, malicious and unfounded, the story published by Saharareporters.com on Friday, 25th September, 2015 which claimed that Senate President, Dr. Bukola Saraki blamed him for miscreants’ attack on dignitaries at the Ilorin Eid Prayer Ground last Thursday.
In a statement issued in Ilorin, the Kwara State Capital, Dr. Muyideen Femi Akorede, the Senior Special Assistant on Media and Communications to Governor Ahmed, said that at no time did the Senate President accuse the state governor of leaving him vulnerable to attack by the miscreants at the Eid Prayer Ground, Ilorin, neither did Governor Ahmed blame Dr. Saraki for the miscreants’ attack on dignitaries, Akorede said.
Btw, sorry o, I had to go enjoy myself. Though it was only 4hours, I must say I had the fun of my life. Away from my laptop, away from my bedroom, saw real people, loooool. Back now (hopefully I wont run to bed soon) Amen.
A young bride from Bethlehem, Pennsylvania is bringing a whole new meaning to the term 'something borrowed'. Abigail Kingston, 30, is set to get married in a wedding dress that is 120 years old and it has been previously worn by 10 other brides on her mother's side of the family.
Mary Lowry Warren, Kingston's great-great-grandmother, first donned the Victorian-era satin gown in 1895, and was last worn in 1991.
Leigh Valley Live reports that the tradition of passing down the dress took 50 years to start because Lowry's daughter's had no interest in wearing the dress. Lowry’s daughter got married in the roaring ’20s and wanted a flapper-style dress instead of the older style, Kingston explained.
It was Lowry's granddaughter Jane Woodruff who was delighted to wear the dress for her February 20, 1946, wedding to John Kearns. The next to wear the dress was Virginia Woodruff on her October 13, 1948, wedding to Douglas MacConnell and the list went on…. More photos below.
The World Health Organisation, WHO, late Friday announced that polio is no longer endemic in Nigeria.
“This is the first time that Nigeria has interrupted transmission of wild poliovirus, bringing the country and the African region closer than ever to being certified polio-free,” the United Nations sub-body said in a statement.
WHO quoted Global Polio Eradication Initiative, GPEI, the public-private partnership leading the effort to eradicate polio, as calling this stride a ‘historic achievement’ in global health.
For Shola Olusola Warah, 21, a student of Federal College of Technology,Akure,these are not the best of times. The absence of a fatherly care over the years,didn’t really mean much to him until recently when he was offered admission to College of Technology Akure, in Ondo state and he started mingling with friends and other course mates.
Shola Olusola Warah, a native of Ilorin in Ilorin West local government area of kwara state, in company of his mother Sarah and other members of the family was looking psychologically distraught when they visited Saturday Vanguard office in ilorin last week to narrate their dilemma.
But Honourable Sulyman Warah, immediate past member of Kwara state house of assembly ,now married to another woman with four girls still denied that Sola is his biological son even though he admitted that he dated his mother several years ago.
After starting the war herself, in a chat with Saturday Beats, Angela Okorie called her fans rumour mongers, saying the interviewer shouldn’t mind them because they are nothing but mere rumour mongers. Now this is the gist, the actress posted a photo on her instagram page instigating she just had a breasts implant and her fans went crazy calling her names. Forgetting she started it, a Punch reporter asked her how true it was and instead of fully admitting it’s her fault, she still put the blame on her fans, calling them rumour mongers, when in actual fact, she posted the photo, asked the question and instigated the fire. Her words;
“Don’t mind rumour mongers. What breast implants? I was the one that posted a picture on my social media page one day while I was playing on set. I play a lot and one day while we were on set, someone brought some balloons to the set. I blew the balloon and put it in my shirt and posted the picture on instagram. In the caption, I wrote that I just had a breast implant and I asked what my fans felt about it. I was only playing on set. A lot of people began to comment calling me a crazy girl. That was what I did. I did not have any breast implant. They knew I was joking but they just wanted to talk. I am fine the way God made me. I am a complete woman and I can never do breast or bum implants.”
A statement like that should have made you feel important, but you didn’t budge. You simply ignored and looked ahead resolutely, much to the little boy’s disappointment.
You refused to accept his offer even when it was evident that you were struggling to hold on to the ‘gbogbo ero’ you bought. You didn’t trust the market boy or cart pusher, fearing they could take off with your stuff. Most of us are often guilty of this.
Sean Tizzle has said he is not sure if Basket Mouth contacted his management team like he said he did and they asked him to pay a fee, he says if at all he did and they asked him for an amount, the comedian should have contacted him, because he sees him like an uncle in the industry and he respects him. Below is what Sean Tizzle said about the matter to Saturday Beats;
“It is cool that everything is out there. If Basketmouth has any issue with me, I would have expected that he would call me and speak with me. I see Basketmouth as an uncle. If he called anybody from my management team, there should be verification and if he did not like what they told him, he could have called me to inform me.
“Nobody contacted us to tell us that they wanted us to be at his show. Even if somebody contacted us, I would have thought that it should be directed towards me personally instead of going through my management team. If it happened, I would have expected that it would be resolved immediately without the news getting out to the public. It is something we could have resolved amicably. We were not contacted to perform at his show.”
Anita Joseph in an interview with Naijaonpoint has disclosed that Nkem Owoh actually touched one of her breasts in the movie Gamblers and she thinks it’s no big deal. According to the actress, a movie is supposed to be real, and when they told her the actor will have to touch it to make it real, she accepted because it is her job. She also spoke about her recent closeness with Afrocandy, especially when she was in Nigeria and she said this;
Oh yes they are, some of them do worse things behind closed doors. So don’t judge me. I do what I want to do but I can’t do porn. Anita is crazy, Anita is this, Anita is that, but I can’t do porn. There are some kinds of things I can’t do. If I’m doing business with Afrocandy, it’s movie business not porn and it’s my business. Nobody has the right to tell me I shouldn’t do it because she’s this, she’s that. That’s their business.
On Nkem Owoh, she said;

On Sundays and Wednesdays, she makes snacks and gives to children going to church at Oregun. She was visited at her Agidingbi home in Ikeja, where her gifts were presented to her.
Tina Nwosu; a woman who has the fear of God. Following the separation of her nephew’s parents, (Godtime, who nominated her), Godtime’s father never looked back which made him never experience the love of a father. He was raised by his mother, with the help of his aunt. After his mom’s demise in 2008, his aunt became solely responsible for him and has been playing the role of his parents in full capacity. Single-handedly she took care of his education, got him a job and even takes care of his rent. She is an epitome of a hero and indeed made of black. She was also paid a visit by Olamide at her Fagba home. Continue...

The actress who flew to South Africa yesterday for AMMA and caused commotion when she flaunted her nose ring at the MMIA in Lagos has flaunted her look for today and still clearly has the nose ring regardless of what her fans think. A lot of them condemned the nose ring and says it does not speak well of her as a role model, but Eniola is indirectly saying, it’s her life and she has to live it. She flaunted the ring with a neck chain which read; TUNRT UP.
Falola, who was nabbed by the Oyo State Police Command during a stop-and-search in Ibadan recently, claimed to be a dropout of a university in Osun State, adding that he had deceived more than 100 people with his fake identity.

Pa Taiwo Adelana, a brother of late HID Awolowo who wasn’t aware of her death until he found out himself yesterday when he visited her Ikenne home to pay her a visit wept profusely when he discovered his sister has waved the earth goodbye.
Taiwo who was wheeled in, said he had been dreaming of her for the past three days and that was why he insisted they must bring him here to see her. He kept exclaiming ha ha, as he used the white handkerchief with him to wipe the tears flowing down his cheeks. Pa Taiwo is 94.
