A company director who is terminally ill has announced on LinkedIn the date he will die at a clinic in Switzerland and details for his funeral.
Simon Binner, 57, who was diagnosed with Motor Neurone Disease in January, updated his profile on the professional networking site to announce he would die this coming Monday.
The Cambridge graduate from Sutton, south London, who recently handed over his home care business, describes how the disease accelerated "rapidly".
He wrote: "I was diagnosed with aggressive Motor Neurone Disease (MND) on 7 Jan 2015. As I was driven home I had already decided what I would gladly have to do when my time was upon me. I died in Switzerland with Eternal Spirit on Mon 19 Oct 2015 and my funeral was on Fri 13 Nov 2015. My MND accelerated very rapidly. The sawbones initially thought I would last until 2017/2018, but they were mistaken - no worries, it's an inexact science! I don't recommend MND! Better to have one massive fatal stroke or be killed instantly by a drunk driver! There is nothing that I can say that's positive about MND."
The father and grandfather will now travel to Basel, Switzerland, to end his life at a clinic called Eternal Spirit.
Nollywood actress and singer Jennifer Eliogu has said it’s best for women to allow men ask them out instead of walking up to them because Nigerian men aren’t ready for that. She also spoke about her kind of man but never made mention of when she will tie the knot. Enjoy!
What attracts you to men?
I think every woman likes a well-dressed and good looking young man to be identified with. But aside the physique appearance, I will say I like a very intelligent man, and people often say they like God-fearing man, yes, but as far as I’m concerned, everybody is God-fearing, it all depends on your relationship with God. But I will say, I like men that have respect for humanity because love for humanity is love for God. You can’t give God shelter, you can’t clothe God, you can’t feed God neither can you protect God, it is human that need all these. Continue...

Rock formations are common features of Abeokuta, the Ogun state capital, and its neighbouring villages even as Abeokuta – people who live under the rocks – derived its name from there.
While some of the rocks which were formed centuries ago, according to geologists, are tourist sites such as the Olumo Rock. Others situating in remote areas, remained veritable sources of granites and stones in commercial quantities to people within and outside the state, for construction works.
And some of the residents, acting on the eroneous belief that rocks neither die nor decay, and perhaps because of the cool ambience they are said to engender at night, elected to erect their homes near or below those rocks, while others build atop of them, including altars of prayer, especially those who attached spiritual conotation to rocks.

Why do you think many celebrity marriages collapse?
I believe such marriages lack trust and understanding. Many men can’t tolerate seeing their wives playing sexual roles. Also, many people believe that we (actors) practice what we act in the films. Another factor responsible for marriage collapse is that many women try to change their husbands after marriage, this brings disarray into the home. Women needs to be more cautious.
Could that be the secret of your successful marriage?
Yes, we trust and understand each other.
Some people wonder why you and your husband have not been cast as spouses in a film ?
That is not true. That means they do not watch some of my films.

The Nigerian Army, on Thursday, sent Beko Ransome-Kuti’s son, Brigadier General Enitan Ransome-Kuti, to six months in prison. It was as a result of the court martial that he and others faced over offences they were accused of in fighting insurgency.
However, the sentence is still subject to confirmation by the Nigerian army and if it does not quash it, Ransome-Kuti may be sent packing also from the Army. On the other hand, the Army may send the judgement into the shredder and the officer will, as a result, be a free man.
The Army authorities charged him with shirking his duties against Boko Haram, leading to the brigands taking over the north eastern town of Baga. He was also accused of failure to, according to saharareporters, “account for the weapons and ammunition under his supervision, rendering the army useless in the fight against Boko Haram.”

Helen Paul has deemed it fit to reply haters when people called her out on Alibaba’s page and here when Alibaba wrote a post on backstabbing. They had alleged that Helen Paul took a swipe at Alibaba and Gordon at a show recently which made the older comedian call her out. But Helen says, it is far from the truth and she has nothing to do with Mr Ali’s post. Here her;
#"I have watched with mixed feelings, ranging from bewilderment at first, to amazement, and now utter amusement, as some mischief makers have tried to create a non-existent frosty relationship between me and my father and mentor in the industry, Ali Baba. It all started with my jabs at a show - something we all as comedians throw at each other every now and then. All done for laughs - nothing personal. Ali Baba is someone I respect a lot and it will be foolhardy for anyone to think that I was 'insulting' him at that event. I am like a daughter to him and I am sure if he has any issues with me, he would, as an elder and a father, talk to me personally about it. The account and scenario described in his post allegedly referring to me did not even happen to or involve me. It amuses me how people easily read between imaginary lines so that they, like Don King, can promote battles, lol."

She however ended it all with a big blow to Caroline Danjuma saying, the only DANJUMA I Know is DAISY, not you. Her words;

But their mission was cut short at the outskirts of the city, near the neighbourhood where the Thursday night bombing took place, as soldiers on guard in the area tried to stop them, one official said.

Ford Motor Co's China joint venture will recall roughly 220,000 Kuga sports-utility vehicles (SUVs) over potential fuel leakages, China's quality watchdog said on Friday.
A company spokeswoman confirmed the recall is specific to China.
Driving on severely bumpy roads could lead fuel tubes in the SUVs to rub against other components, over time leading to wear and tear and potential fuel leaks, the watchdog, the General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine, said on its website.
The recall affects Kugas produced by Changan Ford, a 50-50 joint venture between Ford and Chongqing Changan Automobile Co, between 2012 and 2014.

Buhari’s SSA Explains The ‘Hell’ They Went Through In the Hands Of NTA, AIT & Security Men During Campaign
Indeed, the race is not for the swift. Here’s what the Senior Special Assistant to the president on Media and Publicity, Shehu Garba said today while representing the president at The Red Media Summit which took place in Lagos.
“Muhammadu Buhari’s goodwill greetings to you is on account of the fact that he won an election that many people think he was not going to win.”
“Americans say that elections are won on the dollar. It’s very improbable that anybody can win an election without money. We didn’t have advertising money on our campaign. Even when we had little money to spend on advertising, the Nigerian Television Authority was not making available to us slots, neither was AIT.

Ndirika’s wife and daughter were shot dead by stray bullets that hit them right inside their home. Ndirika returned to meet the corpses of his wife and daughter and said he has left everything to God. He described his wife as a woman with good heart who loved and care for everyone and he knows she will make heaven.
“My wife worked for humanity. She was always out to make people happy, especially the less privileged. She was a loving companion. But we don’t have to blame anyone, even God who allowed it to happen because I believe there’s nothing that will happen in this world without God’s permission. Rather, we should all learn from what has happened. I know that my late wife and little daughter are in heaven. And to all of us that are still living today, we will meet her someday because death is inevitable.
