Ogun At 40: Awujale To Host Buhari Today

President Muhammadu Buhari will be visiting Ogun State today to take part in activities commemorating the 40th anniversary of the state. The Awujale of Ijebu land, Oba Sikiru Adetona, will also be hosting the President to a private lunch at his palace in Ijebu-Ode, Ogun State at exactly 2pm.

This is the first time President Buhari will be hosted to a luncheon by any ruler since he became President on May 29, 2015. The royal fathers in Ijebu land, members of the Council of Chiefs and selected personalities were also invited to the private lunch.

  4. Nice.

This is the only Oba who told JONAFRAUD to his face that he, the Oba cannot direct Ijebu people to vote for PDP.

You cannot buy honour and intergrity. You can only inherit them.

Awujale, though not my favorite amongst our Yoruba Obas, did us, Ijebus proud by openly rejecting JONAFRAUD unlike those who sold their conscience to Jonafraud.

Long live Ogun state but we still want Ijebu state carved out of Ogun state.

  5. He is a very straight forward, no nonsense, ethical, good, honest, honorable, moral, respectable, trustworthy and not a corrupt King. He says it as he sees it. Done so from the time of Babangida to GEJ's. Long live the king and Nigeria.
