12 Social Media Assistants Appointed By Bauchi Governor

Mohammed Abubakar, Bauchi State Governor, has inaugurated a 12-man committee to supervise and coordinate the state’s activities on social media. The announcement was contained in a statement posted on the state’s Facebook page.

Mr. Abubakar’s office said the 12 individuals were pooled from the three senatorial districts in the state and had been tasked with the “responsibility of showcasing and propagating the good work of the Governor of the State on social networks”. Read the full statement after the cut.


BAUCHI STATE SOCIAL MEDIA GETS INTERIM MANAGEMENT COMMITTEE, INAUGURATED

The main social media group of the Bauchi State Government shouldered with the responsibility of showcasing and propagating the good work of the Governor of the State on social networks gets new interim management committee executives.
The executives were drawn from the 3 senatorial zones of the state, with each zone getting 4 representatives in the committee.

Below is the list of the 12 committee members:

A.) BAUCHI CENTRAL
1. Sanco Isyaka Burra
2. Comr AA Hardawa
3. Abdullahi Bappah Darazo
4. Usman Ahmed Misau

B.) BAUCHI NORTH
1. Usman Soja Chinade
2. Sani Bala (Siyasar Katagum) Secretary of the Committee
3. Shamsu Hadi Aliyu
4.) Sagir Umar Yana

C.) BAUCHI SOUTH
1. Zayyad JD Hassan
2.) Buhari Garba Doya
3.) Aisha Usman Wanka
4.) Yahaya Alfa

Representatives from the side of the Bauchi State government include:
1.) Shamsuddeen Lukman Abubakar (SA Communications)
2.) Muhammad Kabir Nuru (Lemi) (SA Media)
3.) Muhammad Nuraddeen (SA Communications)
4.) Musa Saleh Ayuba (SA Christian Liason)

The committee's TERMS OF REFERENCE is as follows:
1.) Oversee the activities and conduct of the network and ensure the following:
A. Conduct registration of members across the state
B. Work out equitable sharing formula of all positions across the 3 senatorial districts
C. Coordinate and ensure successful planning, organizing and staging of one day sensitization workshop for all registered members
D. Come up with a viable working document or constitution for the group
E. Organize and conduct an all inclusive and transparent election into the various positions
F. Serve as an impartial arbiter for reconciliation and consolidation of members.
G. The interim management committee is expected to wind-up its assignment within 3 weeks and maximum of 6 weeks from the date of inauguration.

The committee is headed by Shamsuddeen Lukman Abubakar as its Chairman.

The committee members were yesterday sworn in and inaugurated by the Senior Special Assistant to His Excellency the Governor of Bauchi State on Media and Communications Comrade Sabo Muhammad at a ceremony held at the conference hall of the Bauchi State government house press center.

Comrade Sabo Muhammad charged all the members of the committee to work tirelessly and diligently to ensure the success of the committee. The SSA also called on the generality of the members of the Bauchi State Social Media to continue with the good work of portraying the Governor of Bauchi State in good light and showcasing his people oriented projects.

On his own part, the Special Assistant to His Excellency the Governor of Bauchi State on Communications expressed his satisfaction over the formation of the committee pointing out that it will surely put the Bauchi State Social Media on the right track and also unite its members. In his acceptance speech the SA explained the important role social media plays in our lives especially politics. He also charged the members of his committee to work with the fear of Allah in their minds stressing that whatever we do as human beings without the fear of the Almighty is surely bound to fail. The SA also implored all the members of the Bauchi State Social Media in Focus to give their unwavering support to the committee so as to ensure its success.

Finally, the new Chairman prayed for the success of the Bauchi State Governor Muhammad Abdullahi Abubakar and President Muhammadu Buhari.

  2. Rubbish..... go and pay your workers' salary instead of media paparazi. Governor that cannot pay 6 months salary what else will he do rather than social media lies. God will see us through in 2019
