Governor Ambode Sacks Three Commissioners

Governor Akinwunmi Ambode of Lagos State today fired the commissioners from his cabinet. The commissioners are Commissioner for Tourism, Mr Folorunsho Folarin-Coker; Finance, Dr. Mustapha Akinkunmi and Transport, Dr. Ekundayo Mobereola.

This was announced in a statement by the Secretary to the State Government, Mr. Tunji Bello.
The Special Adviser, Arts and Culture will now take over as the Acting Commissioner for Ministry of Tourism and Culture. The Special Adviser on Transportation will take over as Acting Commissioner for Transportation, while the Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Finance will take over as the Acting Commissioner for Finance, pending the appointment of new Commissioners in the respective ministries.

The governor thanked the former Commissioners for their service. No reason was given for their sack.

  2. I hope the governor did not get rid of those commissioners for him to replace them with yanmirins.

I want no place for any Igbo holding sensitive position in Lagos state ever again.
Let them all go back to their various states to get employments.

I am sick and tired of seeing them holding civil service posts in Yoruba states.

Giving igbos important positions in our civil services as civil servants or commissioners is what embolden them to be jiving rubbish that Yoruba's heritage is no man's heritage.

It was Ashiwaju that started massively giving them jobs in Lagos state civil service and he fully contributed to the rubbish being spewed by these people.

Despite what Ashiwaju did for them when he was governor, they don't even respect him, as they call him unprintable names all over social media.

So, i hope, and pray that only real Yoruba omoluabis will be appointed to replace the sacked commissioners.

Be it, as it may, the governor should know that all eyes are on him to do the right thing.
