Okorocha Orders Arrest Of Hemp Smokers

The Imo State Police Command has received a directive to arrest Indian hemp smokers and other-related drug addicts in the state.

Governor Rochas Okorocha was quoted as saying, “When arrested, don’t take the suspects to police custody. Rather, take them to the Government House. We have a big cell for them,” Punch reports.

The governor reportedly gave the directive during the luncheon and award ceremony organised by the state police command in Owerri on Saturday.

According to him, the rate at which youths in the state smoke Indian hemp will ruin the country if left unchecked.
