So I Had Fun....

So I had fun yesterday, hmm. It was one of the celebrations of Nigeria at 50 and I had an extremely good time. There were a lot of personalities in the house, but you know now, I’m found of the music aspect [musicians]. So I saw this great guy, Daddy Fresh, looking even fresher, lol [money is good o, he looks so big and healthy]. You don’t need to be told that the guy is so loaded now. And of course he was my delight. He is someone I had watched on the screen while growing up as a little girl, and seeing him one on one was a plus to me. So when one of the organizers asked if it was ok to introduce me to him, I said sure, what are you talking about, let’s go, lol. So we got talking, and he made my Independence Day worth it. It was fun talking to him, even has he invited me into his car, and played me his over 18 latest tracks, which he did with the likes of Tuface and Ras Kimono. And of course he was also impressed about me, *winks* lol. Plus we also got talking about Nigeria and the celebration. Please read REALITY MAGAZINE for full interview.

Enjoy this, it was sent to me by a friend: A call from a 419 guy with caller ID hidden:

Mr. 419: Hello, how are you?

Ayo: Fine. Please, who am I speaking with?

Mr. 419:Haba, don't you remember me?  Who do you know in UK that
could be calling?

(Sensing a scam, I threw in a trap…)

Ayo: Johnson!  Is that you?  (meanwhile, I don't know any Johnson in UK .)

(Thinking it's a break, he swallows the bait)

Mr. 419 : Of course, this is Johnson!  How come you didn't recognise
my voice initially?

(Certain it's a scam, I decided to punish him verbally and
financially.  I had the time that morning so I was going to assist him
waste his call credit.)

Ayo: Jooooooohnson! Kai! Omo buruku gbaa ni o! (You are a specially
bad boy)  Your father died, you didn't so much as show up or send a
note.  Omo a se iru e fun e! (Your children will repay you with such).
Didn't you hear about his demise?  He was so bitter and full of
original curses for you.

Mr. 419: (Obviously subdued)  I didn't hear. I would have come.

Ayo:  Too bad.  You heard your mama is leprous too?  You didn't hear
about that, abi?

Mr. 419: (Now uncomfortable) No, I didn’t hear.

Ayo: (Enjoying myself thoroughly).  Too bad.  Is your wife that
foolish too?  Not even a word from her after you folks married without
our blessings?  If the husband is not wise, is the wife lame-witted

Mr. 419: She's fine.   I'm certain she'll get across to you. There's an issue…

(..breaking in before he begins his story)

Ayo: Johnson, O se mi o: (you offended me).  I sent you money to buy
me a car and you just disappeared.  When am I having my money back?
You want me to curse you too like your father did?  I don't have his
kind of patience I'm sure you know.  I won't wait that long before I
give you what you deserve.

Mr. 419:  (Grunted).  This issue is important...

Ayo: Shut up!!! When are you sending money home?  Haba! We sent you to
school, clothed you and sent you abroad...  Are you now a 419?
Stealing from me your friend too. Your father was right to curse
you... And you can't escape it if you continue like this.  It's not a

Mr. 419:  I'll repay you.

After about 15 minutes of moves and countermoves…I owned up.

Ayo: See Mr. 419, I don't know any Johnson in UK .  I just needed to
teach you a lesson.  Go get a proper job.

Mr. 419: Were! Oloriburuku! Lo ti n sepe fun mi lat'aaro! (Madman, and
you've been cursing me since morning!)

It’s almost Independence Day……

Ok, have got like four – five invitations now. And the one’s with my Editor I’m sure we can’t count. Hmm, well he is yet to give me any, but I know I’m getting the major part of it. So this is it, how many will I attend? Honestly, I don’t want to attend even one! lol, but I’m serious. I’m kind of tired attending events these days, may be next year I will continue flying around town, but  for now, there’s something in me, that wants me to stay back and just work from the studio or the office, except I have to conduct an interview, lol. Sowee for this boring post guys…..Hmm, but I have got a big friend, who sticks with me just like a big brother. He has an event tomorrow evening on the Island, and that’s like my event too…. So I must be there ooo….. plus have got an hotel room to sleep, if I must….But ozone make I just tell u o, let me stay back, cos if I come, na everything I see I will talk o. These celebs had better know this, lol.

Ex Boy Alinco Is Dead Broke.

He doesnt hv a better pic
Bayo Bankole who a lot of his fans refer to as Boy Alinco due to the role he played for nine years in Papa Ajasco and company, his currently not having the best of times as an actor, even as I write this. Though I have been hearing the rumour of him been broke, but I decided to ignore it. Bayo was spotted recently looking so rough and un kept. From his hair strands down to his toes, outfit?……. Oh mine! It was indeed a bad day! One thing is clear, this actor is sure good at what he knows how to do best. One only wonders why he is not getting roles from movie producers. If he doesn’t get a job, how will he survive?  Pls this memo is going out to whom it may concern, especially movie producers….. Pls this actor needs your help; he needs a job, so that he can get paid. He needs to live a good life too you know, God bless you as you adhere to this. So who thinks I’m dissing Alinco? Hmm, I’m evening been tempted to make a list of musicians who doesn’t have a single car and pretends to own two or more. Or even music stars that manages one tokunbo car, and claim they earn millions, even some actors too. Let me hear anyone laugh about this, and let’s see if I won’t make my list.

Happy Born Day Actor

So today is actor kunle Afolayan’s birthday. He almost shares the same day with Nigeria, lol. Happy birthday bro. And here’s what the actor wrote on his twitter page. ‘Thank you Lord for the achievements in 2010 and for granting me another healthy year. Happy birthday to me’.

Isaac Fayose Marries White Babe Secretly

He is the younger brother of the former Governor of Ekiti State, Ayo Fayose and the boss of Annis Guards. Isaac is said to be a happy man again, has he recently tied the knot with an English babe. Some people are of the opinion that Isaac is yet to settle his divorce case with his first wife, and probably that was why this was done secretly. It will be recalled that he recently had a lavish house warming ceremony in Abuja for his newly completed mansion. Here’s wishing few of our Nigerian bigger boys a happy married life… Life’s good you know. NB. he is also a very good friend of Raymond Dokpesi Jnr.

Oritsefemi In Many Troubles

Music act, Oritsefemi is currently not in a happy mood right now. His much awaited album is yet to be out, even though he has completed works on it. I learnt his former record company that released his solo debut got him almost arrested when they heard he has concluded plans with a new record label to release his much awaited album. They threatened the musician not to put the songs he released on their record label on his album or else he might end up in jail. Amongst the songs he released for Emesia Music, his former record company is mercies of the Lord which features late Dagrin. The artiste and his new management have been trying to resolve this with the boss of Emesia Music, but the guy is adamant on collecting 10million naira or no deal. Oh no, this is not in any way a good news o, as so many fans of Oritsefemi, can’t wait to get the full dose of him. I mean, we all got to love him after the hit track he did with Dagrin. And this coming now! *sorry face* and even waving *pele*

Ghanaian Actor Van Vicker counts blessings

The Ghanaian actor who got more popular with Nigerian movies, Van Vicker has been asking people to help him thank his creator. In his words, he said ‘I'm from a humble background, never imagined that  one day I would be able to pay bride price, raise (support) three kids, own a house, buy cars, have a bank account, own finer things, touch lives and even help others. It’s not my might, it’s His Grace. I'm blessed. Now, I see an even brighter future’. Wow, it is sometimes good to be grateful to God and never forget Him as the source. It does nothing to you than to make you humble, and even get more blessings. Yelz o

About Timi Dakolo’s Ash Suit

If you are reading this, and you know this singer, please help us tell him we are tired of seeing him in a particular suit. It now seems that Timi has no other suit in his wardrobe than this ash coloured one. Even if it’s your favourite, celebs are not meant to re rock. This guy lost it so much that he repeats this suit to different events. Ok, I accept he is in the learning process, but what happened to all that money?

Actor Yomi Fash Lanso And His Yoruba Language

Yomi Fash is a yoruba actor and the love the actor has for his local dialect cannot be measurable. Don’t even try to introduce yourself to him with an English name, has he will be fast to ask you for your dialect name. Even at some gatherings where the well read actor is supposed to speak the common language, English, which can get across to a lot of people at the same time, he still prefers to speak his native language yoruba. And he doesn’t forget to tell anyone that cares to listen to please communicate with him in Yoruba if they must talk to him, lol. As far as I’m concerned, this actor remains one of the most handsome actors we have in the Yoruba movie industry. You need to see him, and you had agreed with me.

‘My German Embassy lover impregnated me and fled’

Delta State-born Rose Gabriel is heart-broken and feels like a ship abandoned in mid-sea. Her pathetic story could however be a lesson to other Nigerian girls who frolic with expatriates in the country because of the lure of the filthy lucre.

Narrating her experience to our correspondent during a visit to our office in Lagos, Rose recounted how she met and fell for a German named Ferdinand Evers. What she thought was love made in heaven later turned awry when he dumped her after getting her pregnant. Now she is carrying a four-month-old white baby, Gabriela, whose father has disappeared into thin air.

Twenty-nine-year-old Rose had met 41 year-old Ferdinand, a consular attaché with the Consulate-General of Germany, Walter Carrington Street, Lagos, early last year at a wedding in Lagos where the latter professed love to her.

Before long, the sweet-talking German proposed to her, and believing that he was serious she agreed to marry him. But Rose still had her doubts as she suspected her suitor was keeping away some things from her. According to her, “Ferdinand never allowed me to get very close. All I knew about him was that he had a son, but not married. He never agreed that we stay in the embassy. He told me he wanted us to rent an apartment as he wanted to settle down in Nigeria.”

Trouble begins
In December 2009, she requested for money from Ferdinand to enable her travel to Port Harcourt for the Christmas holidays. He gave her some money for the trip, but unknown to her, Ferdinand had perfected plans to dump her as he secretly kept a fleet of girls. “It was during that journey I noticed I was pregnant. I phoned to tell him and at first he did not believe me. He told me to go for a pregnancy test, which I did and confirmed to him,” she said.

But Rose said she was shocked when Ferdinand allegedly told her to abort the pregnancy, as he was not ready for marriage at that point. “I told him that was not possible, but he began begging and telling me he was not quite ready yet. I finally agreed and went to a doctor, who told me that N150,000 will be required for the abortion. When I told Ferdinand, he simply replied that abortion could not cost so much.
“We argued over the amount and after a while, he stopped picking my calls.

The day he finally did, he gave the phone to a friend, a Nigerian who called me a liar and thief who wanted to frame him up and get money by trick. He had said that an abortion won’t cost more than N10,000,” she said. Determined to prove she was not lying, Rose vowed to keep the pregnancy. By the time Ferdinand came to see her, four months had gone. She therefore rejected the money he brought, as she was not sure an abortion was safe anymore. But she said Ferdinand insisted on her aborting the pregnancy but refused to go with her to the doctors.

Police intimidation
Ferdinand apparently changed tactics when his several appeal to Rose failed. He decided to apply some force to intimidate her. One day, a police lady, said to be his friend, warned Rose to leave Ferdinand alone. The two of them had invited her to a private building on Victoria Island in Lagos where he reportedly told her that he wanted to pay her off.

“I decided to play along and I told him to pay N50 million. But he said it was too much. Finally, he reluctantly agreed to pay N10 million,” Rose said, but added that he refused to do anything about it.
During the second round of negotiation, which now involved her lawyer, Ferdinand began to sing a different tune, claiming he was not responsible for the pregnancy. He was said to have come to the meeting with a lawyer, who later reportedly invited the police to arrest her. She was taken to the Panti Police Station, where they both wrote statements and asked to return the next week. During her next visit, a police officer advised to take the matter to a civil court.

Shortly after, Ferdinand invited her again so that they could “settle the matter once and for all.” Then she was in Warri. It was when she went to the bank to withdraw money to travel to Lagos to meet him that another trouble started for her. At the bank, she was told there was an alert on her account instructing that she be arrested.

“I was surprised and asked them what the matter was. All they said was that I would soon find out. They took me to the Enerhen Police Station where I was detained with my eight-month-old pregnancy. The next day, the DCO told me that Ferdinand paid N100,000 into my account following kidnap threats from me. I said I was not aware, and that if he did, it must be in respect of money to take care of his unborn child.”
Rose said she was detained for four days before she was transferred to the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) in Ikeja, Lagos State. By the time she was released, her lawyer advised her to take her case to Interpol as the matter involved an expatriate.

“Despite all I have done, Interpol, like SCID, has done nothing. They told me that they have sent my case to Abuja but the CP (Commissioner of Police) refused to sign the letter. When a police officer told me that as a security person Ferdinand could have talked to the big people in the police and I could not get justice, I got fed up.”

Drama at the Consulate
Frustrated beyond measure, Rose accompanied by a reporter had gone to the German Consulate in Lagos a few weeks ago. Even there, she met a very hostile Nigerian security guard, who insisted she produced a letter before she could be allowed into the consulate. When he refused to budge, Rose began to cry. She stood in the rain with the white baby strapped to her back and wept uncontrollably as she moved towards the gate. As if little Gabriela knew what was happening, she too began to cry.

Then a jeep with Germans in it pulled up in front of the gate and the black security guards went to drag her off to let them drive in. One of them, a female, pulled at her shirt and tore it in the process. There was a scuffle, but the Germans simply drove in without a care. But, some sympathetic staff among them told her to go and seek justice outside as they were not sure the German embassy would do anything if she had no help from a strong human rights group.

A friend of Ferdinand, who preferred anonymity, however told our reporter at the consulate that Rose’s estranged lover had been sacked because of his excesses, especially with women.

“Ferdinand had a wife in Germany and could not have married in Nigeria. Due to other sex scandals connected to him, the consulate deemed it fit to send him home. She is not the only one he offended sexually,” the source said.

Rose has however taken her case before human rights groups and is soliciting their assistance.
“I’m a Nigerian citizen and I have my rights. No Nigerian will try this in Germany and get away with it. I will not allow them to ride me in my own country. I appeal to all Nigerians of goodwill and human rights groups to come to my aid,” she lamented.

Sukanmi Omobolanle’s Romance With K1’s Daughter Crashes

This is no good news at all, especially to close friends of Sukanmi and Sekinat Anifowose who thought they were heading for the altar. Sukanmi is Pa Aluwe’s Son while Sekinat is K1’s daughter and also a student of Lead City University in Ibadan. While Sukanmi as we all know is an actor. They both met at Ibadan sometimes ago, and one thing led to the other, and they both fell in love. They took their love to the next level, as they were always sighted together at almost all the clubs in the ancient city. A bird who is in the know says whenever Sukanmi is on a movie location; Sekinat hardly attends any social function, as she prefers to be on her own. It’s unfortunate that the story as turned around and they have both gone their separate ways. It was heard that Sekinat accused Sukanmi of cheating on her, and so she opted out. Sukanmi has denied this allegation and says they are just friends. But the latest of them all is that Sukanmi is said to be in a love relationship with a babe who lives in the United Kingdom.
These so called celebs never seize to amaze me. ‘We are not dating, we are only friends’. Is there anything hidden in this life? They never accept anything, until the wind blows and we see fowl yanch. Can anyone remember Actress Ebube and Kingsley of KC Presh? Even till Kingsley almost got married, they were still denying it, until they both accepted later. Or is it the stories of different beauty queens? They keep denying till picture speaks. hahaha

Chidinma Wins Project Fame Season 3

It’s the first time a lady is winning the contest. And Chidinma’s win makes it the third time a Nigerian is coming tops.
Now it’s Chidinma’s turn to rock stardom, with her already acquired platform. Hopefully she would be the next big thing happening to the Nigerian music industry in a matter of months.

Actor Jide Alabi Slams ANTP Leaders

Most of us got to know him when he was part of PALACE which was aired back then on AIT. Today he is an actor of note, a broadcaster and a teacher, lol. He recently granted an interview to a softsell magazine and was asked to comment on the on-going crisis in ANTP, and here’s what the actor said, ‘The truth about ANTP is that the elders have failed in leading the youths. They probably have forgotten that some people nurtured the industry for them to get to where they are today. But they are spoiling it for the younger ones coming behind them. We all cannot fold our hands and watch them kill the association. It’s high time they stepped down, go home and do other things and let the youth take power to return the glory of ANTP’. You are so right on this.

It's a NO NO!

Omawunmi, Oh my!
