I remember the brand my Mum always used to use – I remember the smell vividly, it was the smell of her cardigan when she hugged me, and the smell of my bed sheets as a child.
‘I used to love smelling the powder, but when life got so stressful I found only eating the soap would help. ‘It is an addiction, I can’t stop, and I have sought the help of a doctor who specialises in addiction. The doctor told me I must empty my house of all washing detergent and soap, anything that triggers my addiction.’

ReplyDeleteAnon 29 May, 2012 07:28, haba! Death without sentencing niyen.
Ujuhhhh, Sand in the rain? I remember my Aunt once told me of a friend of hers who had the same crazy feeling for that 'fresh' sandy smell that wafts through the atmosphere right after the rain stops. Though, in her own case, she never tasted the sand (at least in her friends presence) but she always talk of the temptation. I thought she was crazy or my Aunt was lying and now you are confirming it. Wow!
I would have thought substances like these would be fatally injurious to one's health. Apparently not so much. Funny, she's having her photos taken like it's normal to eat soap.
This condition is called Pica. Her body has a mineral deficiency that is been resolved by something in the substances she is eating. For instance, people that have low blood iron will crave sand, mud, rock salt or any substance that has the raw natural iron in it.
ReplyDeleteI am surprised that the chemicals haven't destroyed her stomach linings. Hmm!
lol...i will need her urine to wash my cloths...
ReplyDeletePlease who typed this? This is the powers of her father's house caughting up with her. Caughting up?
