Pretty actress and widow of Jaiye Aboderin, Stella Damasus who got married not too long ago, but out of the marriage has found herself busy again. This time around, her Art Foundation is set to discover new actors and actress and even stretching it to singers. The said participants will all be trained to become stars in the nearest future. Yoruba actor, Lekan Lekinson is dead

I’m not happy reporting this at all. I grew up watching this guy in movies as a very handsome, fun loving man. So sad he is gone today. I was told he died earlier today after a long battle with Diabetes. So so sad. May his soul rest in peace.

Is this really Tiwa savage? And to be honest, we are worried for Omawunmi… This far? No stylist?

Inspector General of Police Resigns

God help Nigeria. The Inspector General of Police, Hafiz Ringim has tendered his resignation letter this morning to the Federal Government. The new IG is now, former commissioner of Police, Lagos State, MD Abubakar. He wasn’t the only one that resigned, but six other DIG’s also tendered their resignation letters.

At last, soldiers leave the streets of Lagos

Soldiers who were deployed by President Goodluck Jonathan to crush protests in Lagos against the removal of fuel subsidy have left the streets of Lagos yesterday.
The soldiers, armed with machine guns and armored tanks were deployed to Lagos streets in the wee hours of Monday, 16 January as the masses gathered for yet another protest. They have however left all the strategic places they were deployed to.

Genevieve Nnaji & Osaze Odemwingie get endorsement deals

Genevieve Nnaji and Osaze Odemwingie are happy people at the moment. A South African company which produces Cintrion Energy drink is set to make them ambassadors of the drink, knowing fully well they are masters in their chosen professions. The deal lands both Miss Nnaji and Osaze N50M each. Congrats to the two superstars.

Society big girl, Toke Makinwa just got engaged to a Lagos big boy known as Maje Ayida. According to sources, Maje is from a very wealthy family and in his late 30’s. Toke rolls with ladies such as Louis Priddy, Banke Adeyemi, Freda Edewor (I still wonder why Freda keeps denying her love relationship with Don jazzy), and Yosola Kuku.

Erstwhile African footballer of the Year and ex-Super Eagles striker, Victor Nosa Ikpeba has found love again. 
According to those who should know, Victor's new love is Temitayo Ade, an air hostess with Chanchangi Airline.  Pretty and very light skinned, she is in her late 20s and she formerly works with the defunct Virgin Nigeria.
An Abeokuta indigene, she resides at Ogba in Lagos with her family and drives a navy Blue Toyota Avalon car. Those who are close to the beautiful lady informed us that she has benefited immensely from the affair.

Unilag final year student, slumps and dies on football pitch

Rammy Yesufu a final year student of University of Lagos and also a member of the prestigious ABF Football and Social club, Adeniyi Jones, died yesterday while playing football on the pitch. He was said to have slumped, tried to get up but fell back before his friends rushed to him and took him to a nearby hospital. Just as the Nurse laid him down for treatment he gave up the ghost.  He will be buried today at VGC.
His friends asked me to put this up, so his friends in other parts of the country can see. May he RIP.

We will wipe out Boko Haram- President speaks

The president yesterday on his visit to kano, where multiple bomb blasts occurred on Friday, has promised to wipe out Boko Haram. He stated this at the Emir of Kano, Alhaji Ado Bayero’s palace when he went to pay him a courtesy visit in order to assess the extent of damage of Friday bombings which claimed about 200 lives. He has however pleaded with Nigerians to join hands with security agencies by exposing suspicious elements within their neighborhood.

Foreigners get Nigeria travel warning

Britain and New Zealand have warned their nationals against travelling to parts of Nigeria after a series of terrorist bomb attacks in the Northern city of Kano left over 150 people dead. In the wake of the attacks, the British Foreign Office updated its travel advice for Nigeria, warning people not to travel to Kano. This was also stated on its website.

Ugonna Madueke Explodes: A wicked attack on my person via internet photographs

Remember a lot of online magazines published the pictures of Ugonna Madueke (the petroleum minister’s step son) with friends and how they live large? Well, Ugonna says it’s not what Nigerians are thinking, and he didn’t take the pictures just to show off. They were pictures taken at different events. Oh well…
It was with great dismay that I awoke a few days ago to see the pictorial publications being circulated about my family and me by the on-line media. It has stirred up a great deal of controversy and has portrayed our family in a negative light.
The pictures posted were taken over a period of time, some before my mother left the private sector as an ED at Shell to work for the Nigerian government.  Although I benefited from a comfortable upbringing I was raised in a fairly strict environment by a military father who insisted that we worked to support ourselves whilst in school. He ensured that we had the basic minimum to support us covering tuition food and transport only.
