Chika: Did you ever dream of being this big in music?

D’banj: I dreamt about this…(Jokes: I’ve a dream!) God is using us to take our message across from Africa to here.

Chika: You are the face of African Pop music don’t you feel a lot of pressure?

D’banj: Yes a lot of pressure but I have nothing to be scared of. I have much responsibility.

Lebanese stabbed to death yesterday in Apapa

A 52-year old Lebanese, Habeeb Haschem, was yesterday murdered in his room at Palace Chinese Restaurant, formerly known as Sizzler Palace on 72, Kofo Abayomi, off Ibikunle Akintoye Street, Apapa, Lagos, Southwest Nigeria.

Investigation revealed that he was seen with his girlfriend identified as Precious Tochuckwu yesterday evening.

The deceased corpse was discovered by his friend called Naji, at about 9.30 p. m. yesterday.

The deceased was stabbed all over his body and he had tooth bite on his cheek, and beside him was a knife allegedly used to kill him. Please click to read more...

Lady turns into Python in Warri, Delta State

Some readers actually asked for this. I’m really not interested in such. The story goes this way; a lady crept out of a hotel in Warri, half snake, half human crying for help. She said a man picked her for the night and after sleeping with her did some incantations and she noticed her body was changing into a Python which has left her this way. People are saying she already crawled out of the hotel into one Refinery road junction, Effurun, in Warri, Delta State, still crying for help. Ibadan Politician, Yekini Adeojo's son jailed in Uk

An Old Bailey Court in London has sentenced the son of popular Ibadan based politician, and religious leader Alhaji Yekini Adeojo to 30 years in prison for his involvement in the murder of 17 year-old Sylvester Akapalara on December 29,2010.
Sodiq Adeojo,20, of Peckham was tried along two of his brothers, Qudus, 18, and a 16 year old who cannot be named for legal reasons.  All the three brothers were said to belong to the notorious GAS Gang of Brixton.
After the murder, the gang put out leaflets warning witnesses not to assist the police in their investigations, or they will be dealt with. His other two brothers were cleared in the murder case, but Sodiq was convicted of murder, two counts of attempted murder, possessing a firearm with intent to endanger life and having an offensive weapon.
Delivering his judgment, Judge Timothy Pontious said: “Sylvester was an athlete of remarkable ability. He happened to be in the wrong place at the wrong time. It seems he was just one of the many victims targeted in the last few years in mindless and appalling violence simply because of their membership or presumed membership of opposing gangs.”

UBA Staff Jailed for Stealing Customers’ Deposits

At last, one out of the numerous fraudsters working as staff of United Bank for Africa Plc, Romeo Omenogor has bagged 10 years jail term for almost N10m fraud.  The judgment which was delivered yesterday, Wednesday, Feburary15, 2012 by Justice Joseph Oyewole, also ordered 38-year-old Omenogor to pay the bank the sum of N6.6m as restitution.

Omenogor, an IT Specialist working in the Information Technology Support Group of UBA, used his position to transfer the money into his accomplice; Francis Ineh’s account without authorization at the Ugbowo Branch of the bank in Benin. Suzy Q’s murderer was not her Boyfriend

There is a twist in the killing of SQ club owner, Susan Yusuf who was murdered last week Friday in her apartment. Her killer, has been reported to be her lover, but close friends are saying it is not true. Sources however reported that, Idris was close to Susan, because he was her personal assistant and as expected, would most of the time be seen with her. Susan was said to have called Idris to meet her at her apartment around 8pm on the said day. No one could tell what transpired between them, but neighbors only heard the shouts of Susan. According to sources, Idris was trying to escape through the backyard of the 6^th floor, when he got to know neighbors were already alerted. In the process, he slipped and fell to his death. Susan was rushed to the Military hospital in Ikoyi and was later referred to the Military hospital in Yaba, but gave up the ghost on the way. Tales abound that, there was no love relationship between late Susan and Idris.

Dr Frabz Loses Mum

One of Nigeria’s foremost producers Dr Frabz is bereaved. The singer was thrown into mourning this afternoon, 16^th of February, 2012 when he got the news of his mother’s death.

He wrote this on his BB this afternoon; ‘No maamaa….crying’. May her gentle soul rest in peace. We pray he gets over this soon.

Pastor caught having S*X with pregnant sheep in Ghana

RESIDENTS OF Abesim near Sunyani in the Brong Ahafo Region are in a state of shock and disbelief following the bizarre news which broke last Friday about a self-styled evangelist who was caught red-handed having s*xual intercourse with a pregnant sheep.

The weird news spread like wildfire and attracted a huge crowd that thronged the Abesim police station to catch a glimpse of the pastor and his sheep ‘wife’.

According to the police, Pastor Gordon Yeboah confessed at the station to having s*xual intercourse with the animal, claiming that when he saw the sheep, he experienced an unusual feeling within him, prompting him to have s*x with the animal. Pastor Yeboah, 20, a father of a seven-month-old baby, who claims to be the leader of the Holy Spirit Ministry Fellowship church based at Yeboakrom near Abesim, was caught in the act, bonking the poor pregnant sheep at a village called Ampehia near Nkrankrom in the Abesim area on Thursday evening. click below to continue

Storm hits Obalende, Ikoyi and Victoria Island

At least one person has died after a Hurricane-strength wind and rain hit the Ikoyi, Obalende and Vitoria Island in Lagos this morning, Monday, 13^th of February, 2012. Glory be to God. Gospel singer Tim Godfrey who was abducted yesterday has been found this morning. He is presently at an Ajah police station giving out any useful information. His colleagues who raised alarm yesterday asking Nigerians to pray for him, are however grateful as they announced his release from his abductors this morning.

Senate splashes N1.7bn on Jeeps for Senators

Senators of the Federal Republic of Nigeria might be taking delivery of their official Toyota Land Cruiser Jeeps this week, all things being equal. The cost per unit of the 2011 model of the Jeep obtained from the manufacturer's website is $100,724 - about N16,115, 840. The total cost of the vehicles for the 109 senators is put at over N1.7 billion. A competent source in the National Assembly disclosed that the senators opted for the Land Cruiser Jeep because of its unique features. When asked to confirm the story, a senator who spoke on condition of anonymity simply said "we have been on this issue for some time.''

Popular Comedian Klint De Drunk and his sweet wife, Lilian has welcomed another baby boy. The happy daddy recently sent out these words to well-wishers and friends to inform them of the arrival of his child; ‘Praise the Lord!!! God has blessed us with yet another bouncing baby boy!!!!! I thank you Lord!! God is wonderful! Wife n baby doing fine!!’

This is the couple’s second child, after they welcomed one in 2009. Big congrats to the happy parents.
