Female Reader Who Has Health Issues Needs Your Help

Hi Ladun please I had like you to share this with your readers. I've had 3 miscarriages since i got married, and the main cause was as a result of high blood pressure so my doctor recommended i do a thyroid function test and the test came out that the thyroid function is slightly elevated , to cut the long story short, I've been to Google and searched like for ever but what i see there is not encouraging.  I want to know if there are others that have been in my shoes please a word or two from you would help. Thanks a lot.

  4. Thyroid function test are are used to evaluate the rate of thyroid hormones produced by the body, too much of it causes hyperthyroidism which causes weight loss, sweating, rapid heart rate and high blood pressure. Too little of the thyroid hormone leads to hypothyroidism which slow down body function and lead to fatigue, weight gain etc.yours .The causes of the miscarriage can be the hyperthyroidism, ask the doctor to prescribe drugs that will slow down the thyroid hormones a liitle bit.

  7. First you need to control the high blood pressure....eat right exercise, ELIMINATE STRESS!!!, think less, leave issues you can't fix to God and move on

Ask your doctor for high blood pressure medications... The following are safe for conception and pregnancy... Nifedipine, Methyldopa (Aldomet) Enalapril Maleate Nifedine will be good as a slow realease meaning it will be released all day in the blood stream for this you need NifedipineXR.30mg ...of course doses for all the medications are subject to your doctors knowledge and history with you.. If a single medication controls it then it will be great but if it doesn't your doctor can try combinations of them eg 5mg Enalapril 8am 12pm Nifedipine XR 30mg 7pm 5mg Enalapril ....hope this helps..May God touch your blood heart vessels in Jesus name. All the best please leave Stressful thoughts of of your mind and life...it's hard but talk to yourself and someone you trust to let things out it works.

    1. I don't agree with u on enalapril cuz its contra-indicated in pregnancy. All ACEI /ARI are not prescribed in pregn cuz they can injure the developing fetus.@Poster,pls stop going to google cuz u r killing urself d more.I will advice u to go ur doctor or rather change a doctor who ll help manage ur Hyperthyroidism and high blood pressure.Don't take any medication prescribed here without ur doctor's consent cuz u need proper monitoring.A lot of pregn. women with high blood pressure under d care of doctor have delivered their babies successfully.God with u.

For anti thyroid meds the doc will put her on ptu/propylthiouracil, though it has a risk for the baby like goiter, cretinism

    eliminate stress too, if possible.
it is well with you, and i join my faith with yours that by the end of this new year, you will come here to thank God on the birth of your baby(or babies, if you want twins.)
don't despair. Just relax, and everything will be fine.

  18. Women with high blood pressure have babies so can you. You need to control your blood pressure with what you eat and drink too. Why not see a homeopathic doctor? There are some specialist teas that lower blood pressure apart from medication. The doctor will tell you what is best for you and when to stop drinking it because of the baby. Most of all, keep your mouth shut when you are pregnant. Pretend that you only gained weight because sometimes we are the cause of our own problems without realizing it.If you believe in god then move closer to your religion and pray... Good luck sista! Amen!

  24. My dear, don't worry. These things can be controlled medically. I have had two babies while using medication for high blood pressure. I was placed on aldomet (250mg) twice daily throughout my pregnancies. The only thing is that you need to be monitored constantly to ensure that your BP is managed and does not get dangerously high at any point in time. My babies also came earlier than their due dates but they are both grown children now. Don't let anything stress you. I know its easier said than done but you need to be calm. Also avoid salty foods. In fact develop a taste for things without salt.

Get a second opinion about your thyroid function. I always believe in getting second opinions when it comes to medical issues. If it's the same diagnosis, let them treat you for it and also put you on medication for the high BP. You'll be alright dear. Good luck and God bless.

  28. I was having palpitations and sometimes high blood pressure. The only thing you do is take long walks and also try to stay off google cause that is what I usually do, and it elevates my blood pressure. You will see people with different symptoms and outcomes that don't even relate to yours and you are all scared. Also your husband should take you out more often to place u like to visit, that will also help you. Also make green your new life style, i.e fruits especially pawpaw and water melon. Make new friends nd also avoid spicy food. Also stay away from stress
