I Will Not Accept A Penny From FG For The National Conference As A Delegate - Pastor Bakare

The General Overseer of Latter Rain Assembly, Pastor Tunde Bakare has said he will not accept a penny from the Federal Government for accepting to be a delegate at the three-month National Conference which started today.

The Pastor while explaining this to his church members said he will be doing so, so that people will not think he is there for the monetary aspect.

Each of the 492 delegates to the National Conference would be paid N4m per month for the three month duration, which means they will go home with N12m each at the end of the conference.

Though some Nigerians have condemned this , saying N12m each for 492 delegates for three months is outrageous.

Pastor Tunde Bakare will be representing Ogun State at the conference.

    1. Is this man a pastor or a politician, he is making waves as a politician more than being a Pastor

    2. Thats because his church doesn't do adverts. So, will only hear about him in politics because he wants to serve. simple..

    3. By standing in the pulpit and preaching and praying till infinity, God will never leave his throne in heaven to come and fix Nigeria... we need more big pastors to step down from the pulpit and get involved in politics...

Sometimes I wonder if Nigerians even read the bible... The great prophets were always involved in the politics of the kingdoms. They always criticised every wrong move of the kings.... However, if prophet Nathan and king David for instance were to exist in the Nigeria of today, many Nigerians would ignorantly ask Nathan to stay away from politics... God help us

You are right, but we hear regularly of Oyedepo, Adeboye, Adefarasin, Ashimolowo, et al who do not also advertise in one Kingdom activities or the other, all we hear about your Pastor is either insulting one political opponent or so. Please correct me if I am wrong

Seems you are the one that does not read Bible. David was anointed majorly (by Samuel) as the ruler NOT as the spiritual head of Israel when they demanded for a King. Plse confirm the Nathan you are referring to and I will answer you apprpriately with Bible references.

Again, plse note that Prophet Nathan was never included in politics of Israel, he was always conveying God's messages and prophesies to the leaders, unlike your pastor, Bakare whose prophesies on few occasions has come out to be false

    7. That is the problem with Christians, we ride on our high horses, quick to slander and bring down one another. all those coming on this page to bring down Bakare, i will ask a simple question. would any of you reject the 12 million being offered to these delegates if you were chosen? Hypocrites

You have veered of the main point, my question or perhaps observation is that you pastor looks more like a politician and not a pst. Nobody is running anybody down here, if he chooses not to collect the the money that is his personal issue!

  5. I trust Pastor B. FG will spend a total of 70,848,000,000.00 (that is 12,000,000 multiply by 492 Delegates) on the Delegates alone excluding other expenses. I don't even know how to write the above figure in words. God Help Us
