It Is An Understatement To Say We Have Spent N300m On MVP Lounge & Restaurant- Ayo Makun

Comedian AY has revealed in an exclusive chat with Encomium Weekly that he has spent way over N300m to build his MVP Lounge and Restaurant in Lekki. He revealed that the building will be the largest in this part of the world for such a business, and his wife has been in charge of the Interiors. She is giving us designs you can’t find anywhere here, he said.

We learnt you have spent over N300 million on this project?

The aforementioned amount might turn out to be an understatement when you come to MVP to see what we are putting in place in Lekki, Lagos. A lot has gone in, and even more to come. We are having a world class and premium Restaurant Nightclub Lounge.

Continue below...

How much have gone into this and how much more do you reckon you will spend?

You might want to interview the accountant of MVP and the contractors in charge of different aspects of the project to get an exact figure

A source also told Encomium Weekly you have investors who are in this with you?

MVP, at the moment, has two other directors that are partnering me to make it become what we have designed the place to be. I am sure you would agree with me that is the right way to go in other to explore the challenges and opportunities associated with getting it right in a sustainable society.

What is the equity like? 50/50?

The equity is well defined. But if you are looking at buying into the business we still have a room and a parlour left in the entire compound.

Who is coordinating the designs?

The entire project is being handled by Midas Interiors. Incidentally, the MD/CEO is my wife, Mabel Makun. She has put in place classy designs that you will not find in any nightclub in Nigeria.

  11. tomorrow he will now come and say "i work to hard but i'm still a tenant". 300 million naira from where? even if it's a joint business with several people, how do you spend such an obscene amount on a lounge? abi lounge never plenty for lekki? mschew. nigerians cause problems for themseves but when they relocate abroad, they begin to live humble and learn how to save, something they can't do in nigeria. na una sabi.

  12. What a lie!....AY rented the top floor of the formal omission suites in lekki phase 1....where headmasters is (headmasters is on the first floor)...and other businesses occupy the other shops...AY does not own the building but is a tenant...Haba for celebrity superstars lying to over blow their status...the whole building does not even cost 300million..and you cannot get 300m million worth of stuff on the floor he rented...or na gold plated table dey there?...AY..Abeg waka pass...

  13. Good for you, Who is your Architect ? Looks like a structure that should be in Akowanjo or Ajangbadi.those roman columns are so dated and crass.Next time make sure you use a good architect and not a draftsman. That way your building will be worth more on completion.

  18. Why tells us what it's cost? A good edifice speaks for itself. Besides, N300m for club business...must it be club? Plenty businesses that one can do and make better money. Considering the numerous clubs in Lagos, I hope you get your money back in 10 years .
