Oh Dear! Kunle Afolayan Plans To Permanently Relocate

Nollywood actor Kunle Afolayan on his Facebook page said, he has tried his possible best to keep the country’s flag flying high, but it seems our leaders just wants it permanently down. The actor complained about not having stable electricity in the country for years and now the new craze of queuing endlessly at few filling stations and still not getting fuel at the end of the day. Here is what the actor wrote on his page;

"YES! It is high time I started considering relocation. To where? I don’t know but it’s something that has been bothering me for some time now. I have always been an advocate of “Yes we are Nigerians and so shall it be” but for some time now the reality of the state of the Nigerian Nation is beginning to take its toll on me. Does our government consider us worthy citizens of Nigeria or we are just fooling ourselves? Continue after the cut.

There is no electricity to start with and that has been the case since I was born, now I have worked very hard and I am able to afford generator of any size but there is no fuel to run any of them, neither is there fuel to even move around when you need to attend to business. The life of a Kunle Afolayan is even better than that of majority of most Nigerians and every day I wonder and I ask what the future holds for ‘Iya Basira’ who sells wosiwosi and other petty traders whose goods is sometimes worth less that N10,000.

I am sure a lot of people will consider me a millionaire after I have made a few successful feature films that have recorded good box office figures and international recognition, But the truth is, it’s all make believe just as it is in the movies. If I was living in a better Nation and well-structured country, I probably will be living the life of a celebrity by now but the truth and reality is that, I am still a tenant and so is a lot of our so called celebrities in Nigeria and I am owing banks millions.

As a matter of fact, everybody in my house owns two passports, one for Nigeria and the other is for what is considered to be the most powerful country in the world, I have refused get my citizenship of America because of my sentiments of being “ PROUDLY NAIJA”. E be like say I don wake up now!! Make I carry my “ENTERPRENEURIAL ENERGY “and talent go elsewhere jare…

  2. Gbam... Pls when u are going, use me as ur handbag. I am fed up as well. It just saddens me to see people hawking fuel on the road. 50litres for 6k. Is this right? No light, no fuel, no security. Where is our president taking us to? Misery? I had to go back home this morning after spending 4hrs at the bus stop, reason: no bus. We need HELP from above ASAP.

  3. Kunle can do no wrong in my . Very handsome man and intelligent too. I remember watching the making of his figurine and how he had to use generator and the gen fell into the water while they were ferrying it across the water. Too much suffer head abeg for naija. Imagine all that stress and the movie was standard. That is a movie I appreciate cos he paid attention to detail...the young Ramsey Noah had hair covered to take away his bald head....i could go on and on but the government has failed the people but who are the government? they come from the people again. Smh

  15. Stop voting for the disease and corruption called PDP and give another party a chance. I believe APC can change this country for the better. Stop saying they are the same, APC are not perfect but they will make a CHANGE. They have visions and initiatives that will move the country forward. Look at what is happening in Lagos, Edo and all other ACN states, there are gradual developments going on and they are all Tinubu and Fashola's initiatives. And they have gone to merge with CPC which is headed by Buhari known for fighting corruption and have formed APC. I think APC is a good teamwork. APC comprises of good initiatives and anti-corruption. With this party, there will be growth, developments and better life for Nigerians. Stop the religious sentiments and vote for them. We all voted for Abiola and Kingibe in 1993 elections, they were both moslems and we're Nigerians. Am a christian and would vote for competence, credibility, hardwork, performance and honesty. I see these traits in APC if not all. Vote right, vote for CHANGE.

  22. You just spoke the mind of my entire family. I have sat down to analyse the situation from the very beginning till date. My conclusion is, fro Nigeria to be the country of our desire, two things must happen; one is a revolution that will consume all these greedy monsters secondly, we break up. Anything aside from these, Nigeria will never be better
