Experts Say Tiwa Savage’s Wedding Dress Wasn’t Right For Her?

I thought we all loved her dress, till I found this here. Read below;

She must have spent a fortune, wasted days and hours for fitting and amendments, but the expert jury we put together to access the wedding dress has given velvety voiced Tiwa Savage a hard knock!

We are told that the ball, strapless gown could have been perfect if Tiwa Savage was a fuller figure woman but for her shape it was off the mark. In fact, one of the experts said jocularly that except she had become pregnant over night; it was not appropriate. “The gown looked oversized at first glance and that is not a good sign at all”.
“Tiwa is svelte, with an hour-glass shape to die for, did you notice that with the dress? If you didn’t then that dress did not pass the first test of fitting. Maybe the gown minus the frills would have worked better” one of our experts noted.

But Tiwa got excellent marks for her make-up which was described as flawless. Her make make-up handled by Joyce Jacobs, took care to work around her cheek bones and was perfect. Same high marks went for her hair done by Debola Falana. And her veil too was given thumps up.

Trust the bride to be so carefully scrutinized, the groom who wore   suit crafted by Nigeria’s own Mai Atafo was adjudged picture perfect-same with his best man, Banky W. His outfit was also Mai Atafo inspired.

The wedding reception ceremony which was the Armani Hotel which is located on the Burj Khalifa, the tallest building in the world was exquisite. It is no surprise that the décor, the planning and the execution was superb, that is because Elohor Aisien’s Prive Event was in charge.

We gathered that the celebration was in three parts. The first part was the wedding proper where the couple were formally joined as one flesh and one blood. This was held in an open plan area that was decorated slightly and guests were seated church-style facing the couple. Thereafter, the reception was held at the Armani Hotel.  The after wedding party was also held at the hotel and it rolled till the wee hours of this morning.

  12. Word of advice for future brides
    1. Keep your makeup simple
    2. Choose a hair style that sweeps backwards like the classic pony tail with a bun
    3. Coose a wedding gown or dress without too many frills or ornaments...infact u can opt for a classic feminine suit. Have it in mind to look classy....u won't be happy looking at your wedding pictures five or more years down the line and wondering why on earth u wore "that" dress on your wedding day!

  13. My sentiments exactly... The moment I saw pictures of her in the gown, I thought something was off. Anyway, photographs have a way of making things good or bad. She must have looked breathtaking in the gown up close.
Bottom line is it is (was) her wedding, she seemed happy and most importantly NO ONE's opinion is valid on this issue.

  16. Yea,I agree with them. She can do better than that

  17. That bodice and neckline was indeed made for a fuller bust, but she could have easily achieved the look with the help of undergarments and bust enhancers. It was a tad short and had too much going on. I love Tiwa so this is just my unprejudiced scrutiny. She still looked good.

  23. In these days of everyone trying to be a sexy vixen on their wedding day, most people tend to forget it once was a fairytale dream for little girls and young women. Part of that fairytale involves a ball gown and prince charming not a mermaid dress and fisherman. I personally would not pick the dress for myself but I can see where she seemed to want to take the dress. The classic elegant ball gown look. And in a Vera Wang dress no less. I can appreciate that and think that is stunning. I also appreciate that here was a woman who has a great figure and on this the most important day of her life chose not to let her figure be displayed but the fairytale instead is on display. A lovely whimsical dress. Now me...I plan on attacking with shape on my wedding day lol no whimsy. congrats and hml Tiwa

  24. Yea 4real the gown was not realy looking good on her she is looking like a baby of 10

  25. I dont av any p with the ball gown, thats how a wedding gown was originally supposed to look b4 d advent of much fashion. But there was too much goin on, on the gown- in the long run its ha wedding. I wore a flat shoe on ma wedding. All ma friends kicked against it, but thats what i wanted. It gave me d satisfactn i wantd - am sure dis gown gave ha same satisfaction.

  27. Amazing critics!! You took time out to give a critique on Tiwa & her husband yet you did not deem it fit to ensure that your own write up was perfect and error free; seems a small thing to do since you expect perfection from the couple. Tiwa and TJ, wishing you the best AND Tiwa, YOU LOOK GREAT!! Don't let anyone tell you otherwise.

  28. Nigerians have the worst comments in Africa. Leave Tiwa alone or face the wrath of God. Awon olos! I have seen worse dresses. This one is too good and expensive.
