Is Don Jazzy Nigeria’s No 1 Entertainer?

Though he is not fully a musician, but Don Jazzy is more popular than so many musicians. He started out as a music producer and today sings as well and has a music group you could term most powerful in Nigeria’s music industry today.

When Mo’hits parted ways, a lot of people thought it was almost over for him, because the man, D’banj who a lot of people thought made him big had left. But till now, Don Jazzy continues to shine, and it almost seems he is the most respected and followed entertainer in the music industry today.

Did you notice that when Don Jazzy started his Dorobucci slang, it started trending on social media with a lot of people attributing their names to it, and sending in their Doro songs? Just yesterday, he started another trend, ‘Mysleepselfie’ and we have almost lost count of how many people that have joined the train.

What is Don jazzy doing that others aren’t?

  12. There is nothing special about Don jazzy especially with the way he sings. He can’t sing to save his own life, but God has favoured him. That is all, favour.

  14. Porter(1995) suggests that in order to gain and sustain competitive advantage in a competitive industry, you will need to adopt a strategy of being different from others. This is what Don Jazzy has done. He as a unique personality that differentiates him from others. Such a good man.

  20. Errmmmm but all these characteristics you guys are pointing out doesn't make him No1 entertainer. Though he is nice and creative in the studio he isn't an entertainer let alone number1

  21. Na recharge card and online over familiarity that's all. You know Nigerian's are very gullible .. small thing and familiarity with them (whether it is genuine or not)..They tag you as humble and you suddenly become their best. He is not that special in terms of other things. He his however a good producer. Now not everybody can go that route...Some People cannot go to that extent all because of public acceptance. I used to do it too when I was a marketing supervisor...I over familiarise with everybody just so that they can like me and do the work ASAP and they even bring more customers. They suddenly thought I was the best thing since slice bread... and oh my morning trick too, buy food/junks on my way too work and again they fire up work and praise me round the whole office...gullible people. The day Don J stops all these his social media validation, watch how people would start to think of him differently. My opinion.
