Photos: Two Bomb Explosions Kill Hundreds In Jos

Bomb blasts this afternoon has occurred near Jos University Teaching Hospital (JUTH) area inside the Terminus Market near Murtala Mohammed way, in Jos city killing at least 200 people. Heavy explosions were heard around 2:55pm this afternoon when the bombs exploded few minutes apart.

The vehicles used for the explosions were a Peugeot J5 van, with registration number XG 148 BLD, while the second vehicle was a Toyota van, with a Gombe state license plate number.

According to SaharaReporters, the second car, a Toyota Sienna van, had been abandoned since 6 AM Tuesday morning. At least five residents had informed police officials, suspicious of the mysteriously van parked in their area, but no police arrived at the scene, and nothing was done until the car exploded some hours afterwards.  The car “exploded,” after a beeping sound was heard from curious local residents. More pictures after the cut. This is really really sad.

  9. Mr President, enough of the condemnation ritual, could you resolve this issue or in the alternative tender your resignation, which we believe is long overdue.

  14. I don't see how your imaginary god can help you stop the detonation of bomb blast. Wake up and stand for your country. Be realistic and stop praying, take actions instead.......before your leaders suck you dry.

  16. If the president has no solution to this, He should not bother trying again in 2015. Haba! How many more people have to die? With the way things are going, how many people will be left if he stays on till 2019..... 4 extra years of terror will surely tear the country to shreds. I just wish Oby Ezeks will contest.....

  22. Hello Mr. President, I am highly disappointed in you. I keep pondering if truly you are the first citizen of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. I mean a Leader should be a Leader not a follower. You are not decisive and in-secured. I am of the Opinion that the House of Assembly should be melted.

Hello Mr. Shakau, I think you are wiser than the president, but to be candid, you are nothing but an animal. Listen, Animal has two classes, Upper and Lower, you do not even belong to none. It's not your fault, but the elements in power.
