Poet, author and civil rights activist, Maya Angelou who wrote "I
Know Why the Caged Bird Sings", is dead. She was found dead
this morning in her apartment by a caretaker.
Maya had been struggling with health issues in recent weeks
and had to cancel her appearance at the 2014 MLB Beacon Awards Luncheon in
Houston, which will hold on the 30th of May, 2014, where she was billed to be honoured with the ''Beacon Life Award''. May her soul rest in peace.
RIP Maya.
