Go To Polling Booths With Charms, Aregbesola Urges Voters

Osun State Governor, Mr. Rauf Aregbesola, has tasked residents of the state to go to the polling booths on August 9, 2014 armed with charms and verses from the Quran and Bible, Punch reports.

The governor, who said this in Ikire on Tuesday during his campaign in the town, however, did not say what voters would use the charms and prayer verses for.

Speaking in Yoruba language, Aregbesola urged the people of the state to go out and cast their ballots and stay back until the result was announced to avoid rigging.

He described the Peoples Democratic Party as an assemblage of men who are promiscuous for asking young women to “dress to kill” while going to cast their ballots during the governorship poll.

The governor said, “Make sure you go to cast your ballots with everything. I am not saying you should go there with guns but the law does not frown against charms, verses from the Quran and psalms of the Bible.

“Cast your votes for APC and stay back. Wait for the sorting, counting and announcement of result. Make sure you are there to witness how agents would sign the election results. Stay back, don’t hurry home to avoid manipulation.”

Aregbesola promised that he would performed more that what he is doing now if he is voted back into office.

    1. Yes, the same southwest you ran to having left your kidnapping infested region.
The same south west you are all living in and doing business in.
The same southwest you went to school in.
The same south west that gave cockroaches like you opportunities when you all ran away from your muddy and smelly igbo land.
The same south west, where Lagos keeps employing haters like you , making haters like you commissioners in Lagos.

KEEP ON HATING, KEEP ON WRITING CRAPS ABOUT THE YORUBAS THAT GAVE YOU AND YOUR PARENTS OPPORTUNITY TO LIVE IN THEIR MIST.

Keep on hating. Keep on writing rubbish about Yoruba leaders that named streets and monuments in Lagos using your tribal names.

Also continue to use anonymous to spew hatred towards the Yorubas.

YOU WILL ALL FOREVER DROWN AND DIE IN YOUR HATRED JUST LIKE YOUR PARENTS AND GRAND PAPAS ARE DOING.

Yes, I wrote all the above and I approved it too. Too sick of reading haters hating on me on the internet all the time,

Yes, all our votes MUST be defended and if it is charms, the bible and Koran that we have to defend our votes , so must be it.

We need to defend all our votes from the agents of PDP. We are ready to do it in any way possible.

Keep on criticizing Aregbesola without taking a pause and thinking about defending your votes from the clueless Jonathan and his PDP party. Maybe you guys think that it is God who is coming to defend your votes for you. The same God that will come from heaven to develop Nigeria for you while you all sit on your asses and allowed your votes to be stolen by agents of People Demoralizing Party.

You should all keep on sitting on your asses refusing to defend your votes with whatever you have.

I GUESS YOU ARE ALL NOT TIRED OF CARRYING SHIT FOR CLUELESS PEOPLE WHO HAVE BEEN STEALING YOUR VOTES TO WIN ELECTIONS IN NIGERIA.

I GUESS YOU AND YOUR GENERATIONS YET UNBORN ALL DESERVES TO BE CARRYING SHIT TILL YOUR OLD AGE , SO DONT DEFEND YOUR VOTES.

    1. Well in are country, Nigeria, it is a do or die affair. Isn't it during elections that 'hopefuls'" get eliminated forever? God forbid! Money is truly the root of evil and our land is a true example of this fact.

  15. Seriously???? Nigerians can be so stupid. its like you people do not know how to read and i blame the blog for the equally stupid caption. If you're from Osun you know that there are still people there who practice their traditional medicine. Backwards, yes? but they're people like the rest of us. He asked people to come with what they believe in (obviously for protection as elections get messy), Psalms from the bible for christians, Verses from the Quran for muslims and Charms or whatever the traditionalist believe in for the traditionalists. But all you people can come up with is people should bring charms. So pathetic. If he had said only bible verses, the muslims and non christians would be furious. He covered all the grounds to make everyone happy but Nigerians hate happiness. Pathetic bunch.

  16. The governor is saying if you an idol worshipper, come with charms; if you are a muslim, come with quoranic verses; if you are a christians come with Bible verses- for what, to defend yourself against the violence of pdp since guns are not permitted by the law. Self protective and defensive but not offensive weapons is what Gov. is preaching. Dont interprete him out of context.

  17. I weep for this generation, they turn every discussion into tribal and religious issue, forgetting that ordinary Nigerians irrespective of their tribes and religions are @d receiving end the of greed, looting, corruption and bad governance of both the business and political class. This tactics of dividing the suffering masses has been perfected since independent because they know that the moment we all put aside our tribal and religious sentiments apart and agreed that the sufferings of ordinary Nigerian is enough, they know that they are in one hell of a trouble, therefore its suits their goal if we continue to bicker among ourselves based on our tribal and religious sentiments instead of coming together and fights our common enemies ,THE SO CALLED LEADERS
