Spread Of Ebola Virus: Catholic Adopt New Method For Holy Communion

The Catholic Archbishop of Abuja, His Eminence, John Cardinal Onaiyekan, has asked Rev. Fathers to start a new procedure of giving the Holy Communion to check likely spread of the Ebola virus.

The Holy Communion will now be given on the palm as against placing it on the tongue of the recipient. Many Catholic churches have already adopted the procedure, and carried it out yesterday during communion.

The stoppage of hand shake by worshippers done during consecration of the Holy Communion as sign of peace, is said to have also been banned.

    1. Jesus gave us science and a brain. He would have told you to be cautious and believe in him. He wont tell you to expose yourself to Ebola and be careless. Great move by these churches.

    1. If you are talking about faith, why dont you go and start dining with Ebola patients in Liberia? Hypocrites oshi..Isnt it better to take precautions with your belief? Why expose the whole church and then be waiting for miracle? I pity Nigerians and their dumb ass mumuish way of following pastors blindly. As if God didnt give you a brain to reason for yourselves.

  8. Good move by these churches. Unlike all those pentecostal churches deceiving people while the pastor himself is taking precautions. Prevention is better than cure! Heaven helps those who help themselves! Stop being deceived by fake men of God. Protect yourself against Ebola.
