Funmi Iyanda Speaks On 12 Soldiers Sentenced To Death For Mutiny

Just like Funmi says, most people don’t know how the Army works… but we can only wish they were forgiven. Heard one of them is the only son of a surviving widow, some are married with kids, another just welcomed a new baby 5 months ago.

    1. Enough of all these sentiments. Anybody who joins d army know their rules and d consequences of any action they take. D only child of a widow should have thought about that b4 joining others to fire shots at their commander, haba! We all know they court martial anyone who misbehaves in the army so let us spare ourselves ds ignorant outrage. Opening fire @ their commander is just like a coup, do we clap 4 coup plotters? Pls in as much as we plead 4 leniency, we must also acknowledge they did wrong and against their ethics!!! Peace out.

  3. Ladun, regardless of how the Army works, laws that seek to snuff life out of anyone no matter the profession is uncalled for, and is barbaric.

  4. I hope the constitution allows the President to grant amnesty to military men that have been sentenced to death because they are citizens as well.

  5. Why have they not been court-marshalling men of the Nigerian police for indiscipline?

  19. Its sad what they have done I must say but even saddest the penalty they have to face, I hope they can find a more lenient punishment. There are so many things to put in to consideration, their families for a start.
