Bola Ogunlowo, a female banker has
been arraigned before a Lagos State Magistrates’ Court for allegedly diverting N6.6m
belonging to the Lagos State Traffic Management Authority, LASTMA and Vehicle
Inspection Office, VIO, for her personal use.
Bola was arraigned with her accomplice,
one Omotayo Zachariah Adesola who also helped in carrying out the illegal act.
According to the police prosecutor,
the criminal act was carried out between April and September this year before
the management of LASTMA & VIO suspected the act and invited the police who
then charged them to court.
The magistrate admitted them on
bail in the sum of N500,000 each with two sureties each in like sum.
They were both remanded in
Kirikiri and Ikoyi prisons, respectively pending when they will fulfill their
bail condition.
The matter was adjourned till 7
November, 2014 for mention.
