Nigeria Does Not Need The Help Of UN To Fight Boko Haram – Dasuki

Nigeria does not need the help of UN or African Union troops to take on Boko Haram, the country's national security adviser, Sambo Dasuki has told the BBC.

Dasuki said their help is not needed because Nigeria and its neighbours were in "good shape" to take on the insurgents. He however acknowledged the group, to be a "real security threat", BBC says.

Meanwhile US Secretary of State John Kerry says he plans to visit Nigeria in a couple of days. Mr Kerry made the announcement in a speech discussing how to tackle violent extremism at the Davos economic conference.

  1. With that statement, it looks like this government is gaining something from these insurgency. How can you say you don't need help to an insurgency that has lasted for years! Killed thousands! Kidnapped many! That's too bad.

  9. Hhhmmm. They are doing a great job fighting so far! Thunder fire his mouth!! Rubbish. Yesterday was Borno state. Today is Maiduguri. May the blood of Jesus fight for all the innocent blood that has been shed as a result of these useless senseless attacks.
