Nigerians Praise Arase Solomon Over His Readiness To Transform NPF

Nigerians have taken to Twitter to praise the new IG of Police, Mr Solomon Arase for having the Nigerian Police Force at heart and ready to transform the said force. According to Mr Arase who was on Channels TV this morning, he will not in any way tolerate corruption and neither will he tolerate officers who are known for collecting bribes. The new IG informed Nigerians that a website has been opened for them to state their predicaments with police officers who demand bribes from them. www.stopthebribes.net  will fight this cause, he said.

The police website on twitter also announced that a website has also been created to help fight gender-based violence; www.fciidgender.net which will help Nigerians who have been suffering in silence fight their cause.

Nigerians who however listened to him on air have praised him saying his time in office will definitely be different from past IGs.

  5. The Nigerian Police Force needs a overhaul starting with restructuring their pay structure to make taking bribes less attractive. Their conditions of service are deplorable and there needs to be re-training, re-kitting and then a renewed awareness to the general public on the value proposition of the re-engineered NPF.
