Sincerely this shouldn’t have
happened again considering these places are not far to each other. Just this
week fire razed down so many houses, shops and destroyed about 30 cars at Iyana
Ipaja when a fuel tanker fell off Iyana
Ipaja bridge. Goods worth millions of naira were destroyed in the process. Just
this morning too, slightly past 12am a diesel-laden truck ran into a house at
Idimu bus stop where it crashed and exploded leaving at least 36 houses burnt
and so many cars destroyed as well.
Emergency agencies are saying it
is too early to ascertain if anyone died, but a lot of people were injured. The
iyana ipaja fire accident happened midnight, this too, does it mean the drivers
were sleeping? We can never imagine if this happened during the day, Ghana’s fire
incident would have been a child’s play! How many of you know how crowded
Iyana Ipaja usually gets? You don’t even want to think about it. Thank God. See
more photos after the cut.

So sad!
ReplyDeleteNo be so one truck hit a man yesterday that he lost control and veered of the major highway and hit a pedestrian pole and landed on the flower bed off the road. Na only by miracle the man comot unscathed. But the car is almost a total write off. All these trucks. I wonder if there are no checks on them. Road safety should step up their games. It's not only to be checking smaller vehicles.
