NYSC Bars Pregnant Women, Nursing Mothers From Serving

The Director-General of the National Youth Service Corps, Brig-Gen. Johnson Olawumi, has announced that prospective corps members that are pregnant and nursing babies have been barred from participating in the national service across the country. The DG in a statement made available to journalists today also said students undergoing post-graduate studies in institutions of higher learning have also been barred.

He said those affected need not bother to enlist for service “until they are free to participate effectively.”

    1. Don't be ridiculous. Are you aware that NYSC is para military training? Do you find pregnant women in military camps? Or anything should go because it is Naija? Was it even allowed before in times past with NYSC? Go tuck in your sentimentalism.
