7,243 Rats Killed At 8 Major Markets In Lagos Yesterday

The battle to curtail the outbreak of Lassa Fever has
continued in Lagos and at least 7,243 rats were killed yesterday at eight major
markets in the state under the de-rat market programme.
The markets were the exercise was carried out are Onigbongbo,
Oshodi, Oke-Odo, Ikotun, Idanwo, Ojuwoye, Mile 12 and Alaba-Rago markets.

The State government has also directed its environmental
officers to embark on a massive sensitisation campaign across the state on the
need to de-rat the state as a whole.
