Police Arrests One In Connection With Murdered Nigerian Ambassador

The FCT Police Command has arrested a suspect in connection with the murder of Sunday Yusuf, a former Nigerian Ambassador to South Africa.

Yusuf was on June 9 killed at his residence at Wuse, Zone 5, FCT.

The outgoing FCT Commissioner of Police, AIG Alkali Usman, made the disclosure during the handover ceremony today in Abuja.

Usman said that the suspect was helping the police to arrest the other culprits who participated in the crime.

Similarly, he said that the police was “on top” of the case involving Mrs Eunice Olalekan, the woman preacher who was murdered in Kubwa.

“As for the murder of Deaconess Eunice, we are also on it; we have not been able to break through on the case,” he said.

He assured that the police would not rest on its oars until the culprits were identified and arrested.
