Fury As Guardiola Prevents Rooney From Taking A Quick Throw-In During Match

Manchester United fans reacted with fury during the derby clash with City after Pep Guardiola picked up the ball and prevented Wayne Rooney from taking a quick throw-in.

With the hosts a goal behind, captain Rooney was doing his best to pick up the tempo of their play.

As the ball rolled out for a United throw, the 30-year-old sprinted over to take a quick throw. But City boss Guardiola got their first, picked up the ball and and then initially refused to give it to Rooney.

With his defence back in position, he eventually relinquished, but not before Rooney tried to take the ball from his hands by force. Understandably, the home support weren't impressed.
