U.S. Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump toured flood-battered Louisiana on Friday, shrugging off the Democratic state governor's plea for politicians not to stop in areas affected by deadly rains.
President Barack Obama said he was also eager for a firsthand look at the damage done by floods that damaged more than 40,000 homes and killed at least 13 people, announcing plans to visit Baton Rouge on Tuesday.
Obama's travel requires a massive retinue of Secret Service agents and assistance from local and state law enforcement officials, so the White House usually waits to visit disaster zones to avoid tying up police and emergency resources needed elsewhere.
Eight people were killed and 60 were wounded on Saturday in an attack on a wedding party in southern Turkey that a deputy prime minister said appeared to have been carried out by a suicide bomber.

The inch-long scar on the neck of 53-year-old Mrs. Christiana Ashinwo, is one of the physical reminders of the horror of Sunday, April 24, 2016.
She sat on a chair quietly in the sitting room of a house in Agbado area of Lagos, which she built with the sweat and suffering of many years as a single mother and plank vendor. Her head was bowed when a Punch correspondent went to meet her.
But when Mrs Ashinwo looked up, her eyes were glazed with a faraway look that would easily giveaway the fact that she could have witnessed trauma, great trauma that she obviously had yet to recover from.
Who would blame her? Watching her daughter killed before her presence, is enough to give her chills every moment for the rest of her life. The horrific incident she witnessed and survived few months ago in Kwara State remains so fresh on her mind.

Do you also use generator like most Nigerians do?
Of course, I do, even more than most Nigerians. We have no choice due to poor power supply in the country. I rely mostly on generator for my power needs.
For how many hours in a day do you enjoy government power supply in your area?
I cannot estimate that. Sometimes there is electricity today, tomorrow there is none. It’s an on-and-off situation. Sometimes, there will be no power for weeks and I often forget there’s anything called government power supply. It’s just like what every other Nigerian experiences.
