Alleged Marriage Scam: Ooni Of Ife Denies Knowing US Based Lady That Called Him Out

The palace of Ooni of Ife has reacted to a claim by one Elzabeth Odunlami who took to her facebook page to call out the monarch for allegedly promising her marriage and went ahead to marry Oluwaseyi Naomi. Below is a statement released by the palace.

The attention of The Palace Of Ooni Of Ife has been drawn to a news of one Elizabeth Odunlami(miss) claiming to have been jilted by someone believed to be The Ooni of Ife, Ooni Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi, Ojaja II.

While we sympatize with Miss Elizabeth Odunlami(if the identity is real) who obviously has become a victim of a fraudlent act perpetrated by a scammer disguising to be Ooni Ogunwusi, we find it pertinent to debunk this sacrilegious and unfounded allegation  which is not unlikely to be another calculated ploy adopted by some unprovoked detractors using psseudo-identities.

Good members of the public especially ladies are hereby cautioned against communicating with anyone presenting himself to be the Ooni Ogunwusi and swiftly report such a matter or person to the relevant security agencies.

Signed:
Comrade Moses Olafare,
Director, Media & Public Affairs,
Oonis's Palace

  1. There are fake Dangotes and Otedolae on Facebook. She does not have any evidence that she ever interacted with the Ooni yet people are talking. When did we start suspending sense just because we don't like the person the news is about? This woman was scammed. If you read her story, she is talking about 'the said Ooni' using her to get a contract. Ooni might not be classy in picking his women but this lady is struggling to even type English and she sounds gullible- talking about waiting for a man to send her ticket. I fear for the youths of Nigeria and the future. You believed that Lai Mohammed can say he will bomb Israel because of Nnamdi Kanu (do you even understand the meaning of that statement if it were true? Do you know what it means for diplomatic relations?) Most of our young people are naive and make decisions based on sentiment rather than logic. Sad- Newyorker
