Last year, Wizkid's long time girlfriend (well you could say on and off) before they finally cut it off opened a store in Lagos where she sells African prints and beautiful ready to wear outfits. But shortly after Tania opened her store, her landlord increased her rent, and she was forced to leave. Lol... we didn't go out finding about him... Pretty Mike made his life a reality show yesterday as he prepared for his friend's wedding today -- one Otunba Lanre and hmm, his night outing too. Pretty Mike through his insta-story took us to his barber's shop where his hair was nicely made, then off to the spa where he had his facials, pedicure & manicure in between saying, he needs to look good for his friend's wedding.

Teen Defiles 3-Year Old Girl In Ekiti [Photos]

A teenager, Adeyoju Gbenga, 18 this week reportedly defiled a 3-year old girl in his area. The incident took place at Ogo Oluwa, Abete in Ikere-Ekiti, Ekiti state.

Gbenga was said to have taken the 3-year old girl into a room where he defiled her. The mother of the little girl, didn't  know what had happened, but her sister suspected the act and told their mom. When the girl was checked, they saw white fluid coming out of her body and Gbenga was apprehended. Reports however claim, it won;t be Gbenga's first attempt.

A Nigerian simply known has Hilary has been killed in a school brouhaha in far away India. According to reports, it all started between two cult groups; Black Axe and Maphite during the All India Nigerian Students and Community Association (AINSCA) elections at Chattarpur, New Delhi, India.

The Black Axe wanted to impose one of their members as President, but the Maphite group kicked against it and it turned into a fracas. One of the Maphite members was injured in the process and left unconscious. In retaliation, the Maphites, accosted Hilary on his way home and killed him.

Man Drove Stolen Car To Court To Face Stolen Car Charge [Pictured]

A Hartford man due in court to answer a charge of stealing a car apparently stole a car to get to court, police said. Jonathan Rivera, 25, was at Superior Court in Hartford on Wednesday to answer a charge of first-degree larceny and tampering with a motor vehicle involving the theft of a car in Hartford on Feb. 17.

As he waited to appear before a judge, Hartford Parking Authority agents scanning license plates for parking violators got a hit on a white 2014 Subaru Legacy parked near the courthouse. The license plates had been reported stolen and the car itself had been stolen from Newington because a key fob was left in it, police said.

Police kept an eye on the car, and when Rivera left court, got in and tried to drive away, they moved in and arrested him. He was charged with second-degree larceny and taking a motor vehicle without the owner’s permission.

School Staff Can Now Carry Arms In Florida

Florida Governor Rick Scott signed into law a bill backed by relatives of Parkland school shooting victims that restrict access to firearms and paves the way for some school staff to be armed.

Until yesterday, it was not clear if Scott would sign the measure which cleared the Florida legislature on Wednesday after three weeks of debate, during which emotions ran high.

The law raises the minimum age to purchase all firearms from 18 to 21 -- a move opposed by the powerful National Rifle Association lobby group -- bans modification devices that make a semi-automatic weapon fully automatic and increases mental health funding.

It also includes a voluntary "guardian program" named after coach Aaron Feis, who was slain in the Parkland attack.

Female Corps Member Hit By Train Is Dead

A member of the National Youth Service Corps, Nneka Odili, has lost her life as a result of injuries sustained when a train hit her on Thursday in Lagos.

The incident, which happened around the Ikeja axis of the rail line, threw motorists and pedestrians in the area into confusion.

According to a friend of the victim, Oma, who spoke with Saturday Punch on Friday, the tragedy occurred while the victim was heading home from the monthly clearance exercise by corps members at the Ikeja Local Government Secretariat.

Oma said, “Nneka’s death is something I still don’t believe is real. How can she just die like that, somebody I still related with not too long before then? I really cannot say much; her death is one of the most painful things to have happened around me.”

Atiku Reacts To The Abduction Of Dapchi School Girls, Says APC Government Careless

Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar has said that the ruling All Progressives Congress did not do enough to protect the schoolgirls who were kidnapped from their hostel in Dapchi, Yobe State, on February 19, describing the failure as carelessness.

Atiku, who responded to questions from ThisDay via email, expressed disappointment that the government failed to use the 150,000 policemen attached to VIPs to protect vulnerable school children in the North-East.

“Let me paraphrase Oscar Wilde and say that to lose one set of girls to Boko Haram may be regarded as a misfortune; to lose another set, looks like carelessness. As an opposition party, the APC was vocal to the point of exploiting the issue of the Chibok girls’ kidnapping. They did not cut the Jonathan administration any slack.

Africa’s Only Female President To Resign Over Financial Scandal Claims

Mauritian President Ameenah Gurib-Fakim is to resign after becoming embroiled in a financial scandal, Prime Minister Pravind Jugnauth has announced.

Gurib-Fakim, who is the only female head of state in Africa, has been accused of using a bank card provided by an NGO to make personal purchases and will step down after ceremonies to mark the 50th anniversary of independence on March 12.

"The President of the Republic told me that she would resign from office and we agreed on the date of her departure," Jugnauth told reporters in Port Louis, capital of the Indian Ocean archipelago nation without revealing the chosen date.

"The interests of the country come first."

A woman, Janea Alston-Goggins has taken to Facebook to narrate how her fiance almost beat her to death in the presence of her kids and best friend. Janea who called the man a monster says she narrowly escaped death and has gone through several surgeries.

Legalize Abortion, Women Council Begs FG

The National Council for Women Societies (NCWS) has appealed to the Federal Government to remove legal restrictions on abortion to ensure safe services.

Mrs Gloria Shoda, President of NCWS, made the call at a one day sensitisation workshop for women on ‘Unsafe Abortion’ organised in collaboration with IPAS as part of activities to mark the 2018 International Women’s Day in Abuja.

Shoda attributed the failure to reduce the high rate of death from unsafe abortion in Nigeria to lack of access to safe abortion. She said that there have been an increasing number of abortion cases throughout the world. The president said the situation had been fuelled by social and economic vices, adding that unsafe abortion accounted for over 70,000 deaths annually worldwide, Nigeria inclusive.

Stop Dancing & Make Meaningful Contributions To National Issues, Group Blasts Adeleke

A socio-political group, Movement for New Nigeria has said the Senator representing Osun West, Ademola Adeleke, is taking the dignity of legislature for granted with his penchant to burst into dancing at the sound of music at any given opportunity. 

In a statement signed by its National Coordinator Sunday Kilani, the group chided  Adeleke for ‘dancing’ instead of making meaningful contributions to national issues.

I Have Not Been Informed Of Buhari's Visit- Wike

Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Wike, has stated that the Presidency has not informed him of President Muhammadu Buhari’s proposed visit to the state.

He, however, said the president’s visit might be aimed at reviving the fortunes of the All Progressive Congress (APC) that is dead in the state.

Flagging off the reconstruction of Egbelu Street and construction of link roads along East-West Road in Rumuodara, Obio Akpor Local Government Area yesterday, Wike said the federal government has not informed him on the president’s visit and the reason behind his visit.

He said: “I hear they say that the President is coming to our state. I have not been told the President is coming and why he is coming. He has the right to come to any state.

Gunmen KILL Five In Plateau Community

Less than 24 hours after the official launch of a five year road map for peace strategy in Plateau State by President Muhammadu Buhari, gunmen have reportedly killed five persons in the state.

The attack occurred in Nzharuvo community of Basa Local Government Area of the state Thursday night. The attacked community is located close to ECWA Secondary School, Mingo, in Bassa local government.

A youth leader in the community Danjuma Auta, spoke about the attack today. According to Mr. Auta, the victims were mostly children and a woman.

Abducted School Girls: DIG Relocates To Yobe

Deputy Inspector General of Police (Operations) Joshak Habila is in Yobe State to coordinate the plan to rescue the abducted schoolgirls.

Habila, who was received at the Yobe Police Command headquarters by Commissioner of Police. Sunmonu Abdulmaliki  and other officers, admonished officers and men to  redouble their efforts in the search for the missing girls so as to “recover them, reunite them with their families to continue their educational pursuit”.

He also called   on the people to help the police with useful information.

U.S. Offers $5M Bounty For Pakistani Terror Leader

The United States has said it was offering a $5-million reward for information on Mullah Fazlullah, the chief of the Pakistani Taliban terror group that has waged a decade-long insurgency in the South Asian nation.

The offer came amid worsening U.S.-Pakistan relations, and coincided with a visit to Washington by Pakistan’s foreign secretary for talks expected to focus on boosting counterterrorism cooperation and the U.S. war strategy in Afghanistan.

Although Pakistani Taliban terrorists still unleash attacks, the group has lost control of all territory in Pakistan since its Dec. 2014 attack on an army school that killed 132 children.

South Korea's 2012 Bronze Medallist Dead At 35

South Korean badminton player Chung Jae-sung, who won bronze in the men’s doubles at the London Olympics, has died at the age of 35, the Korea Badminton Association said on Friday.

Chung was found dead by his wife at their home early on Friday, a badminton official said by telephone, adding that the cause of death was not yet known and that an autopsy would be performed on Saturday.

Yonhap News quoted local police as saying Chung had been diagnosed with arrhythmia three years ago and that he had complained of chest pains at times.

Corps Member Loses Fingers In Train Crash Due To Heavy Earphones

A National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) member yesterday lost four of her fingers after being hit by a train at the  Ikeja railway crossing  on the Lagos-Abeokuta Expressway.

Her right leg was also broken in the accident that happened around 1pm.

She was  coming from the nearby Ikeja Local Government Secretariat after her Community Development Service (CDS).

Witnesses said the accident occurred while she was crossing the rail line. She was said to have a big headphone on.

Endorsement Of My Son-In-Law VERY Democratic- Rochas Okorocha

Imo State Governor Rochas Okorocha has said the endorsement of his Chief of Staff, Uche Nwosu, for the governorship in 2019, is not undemocratic.

According Okorocha, the action is in order as it does not breach the constitution of the All Progressives Congress (APC) or the Electoral Act.

Donald Trump AGREES To Meet Kim Jong-Un For Historic Talks On Nuclear Disarmament

Donald Trump has agreed to meet Kim Jong-un to discuss the future of the regime’s nuclear and missile programme, US officials said on Thursday.

The US President and North Korean leader will meet by May.

Kim has committed to "denuclearisation" and to suspending nuclear or missile tests, South Korea's national security chief Chung Eui-yong said on Thursday after briefing White House officials on talks between Seoul and Pyongyang.

"I told him (Trump) that in our meeting that North Korean leader Kim Jong Un said that he's committed to denuclearisation," Chung said.

Woman Clubs Husband’s Assailant To Death...

The rustic town of Okpoma, Yala Local Government Area of Cross River State was Tuesday thrown into mourning as a woman, identified as Alice, allegedly clubbed a man, Ogar Olaje, to death during a brawl with her husband.

It was gathered that the woman’s husband, a commercial motorcycle rider, was engaged in a fight with Ogar, also an Okada rider, following a disagreement over whose turn it was to pick a passenger from Okpoma to the next community, Okuku when the incident happened.

An eyewitness, who gave his name as Tom, said the two men were friends , but on Tuesday, an argument ensued between them which resulted in a fight and the woman became enraged when she saw that the other man had an upper hand over her husband.

Tears Flow Freely As Dapchi Parents Storm Abuja

Man Breaks Apprentice’s Head With Padlock Over Honey [Heartbreaking Photo]

A 35-year-old welder, Mr. Oluwafemi Abiodun, has been arrested by policemen attached to the Airport Police Station, Murtala Mohammed International Airport (MMIA), Lagos, for allegedly breaking the head of his 13-year-old apprentice with a padlock.

Abiodun was alleged to have broken the head of Rasaq Alimi’s head with a padlock, after the boy allegedly tipped a bottle of N200 worth of honey, thus making the honey to pour away. The boy has, however, denied touching the bottle of honey, let alone tipping it to fall and pour.

After breaking his apprentice’s head, Abiodun allegedly ordered him to continue with his welding work, while blood ran down his bleeding head, into his eyes and body.

9-Year Old Pupil Goes Blind After Teacher's Cane Hits His Eyeballs [Photo]

Before Mrs. Oluchi Adibe, 38, went to enrol her son in Good Shepherd Nursery and Primary School, located at Dikenafai in Ideato South Local Government Area of Imo State, she had made inquiries and told that it was a good school.

Armed with that information, she enrolled Chimbuchi Adibe in the school. According to her, all she wanted was for her son to become educated; she never bargained that the school would someday blind her son and turned its back on her. But that was exactly what later happened. Nine-year-old Chimbuchi, a primary three pupil, is about to lose his sight in his left eye, if prompt surgery is not quickly carried out.

The boy was diagnosed of cataract after a teacher’s cane in the school got into his eyes.

Nigerian Man Involved In Racketeering & Theft In US Arrested [Photo]

Eagle police have arrested one Babajide Ayowole Ogunnubi, 38, on felony racketeering and theft charges for his part in a classified ad scam involving the local newspaper and a Walmart in Beaumont, Texas.

Ogunnubi allegedly convinced Linda Lazard Franks, 56, of Beaumont, to sign for money orders and other financial transactions and then give the money to him. Franks told Eagle police that Ogunnubi told her that he had lots of friends in the Houston and Beaumont areas who would send money to him.

Eagle police say Ogunnubi stole at least $3,124.56 between Oct. 22 and Nov 28, 2017. He is being held on $100,000 bond.

Women Day's: Pass Equal Opportunities Bill, Says Labour Group

The United Labour Congress (ULC) has urged the National Assembly to revisit the Gender Equal Opportunities (GEO) bill that was dumped. Its president Comrade Joe Ajaero, while speaking at an event to mark this year’s International Women Day yesterday, said all acts of discrimination against women must end.

ULC wants all forms of child marriages to be outlawed and criminalised, adding that maternal mortality and violence against women must be tackled decisively.

“Laws must, therefore, be made that not only protect women and outlaw discrimination based on gender but also penalises it. All laws that encourage child brides must be abrogated and the act actively criminalised,” Ajaero said.

Jeremy Meeks Settles With Ex- Wife Over Son

Jeremy Meeks has agreed to pay child support. Jeremy struck a deal in his divorce case and will pay his estranged wife, Melissa, $1,000 a month, and that's retroactive to November 1, 2017, meaning he is going to now pay four months of support straight up.

Jeremy and Melissa also agreed to joint legal custody of 9-year-old Jeremy Jr., who will spend 30% of his time with his dad.

But the good news for Jeremy is that he doesn't have to pay spousal support.

Melissa's attorney, Lisa Bloom, says, "We are pleased that we were able to get Melissa child support in an amount 25% above legal guidelines. And the parties have worked together to come up with a reasonable child custody and visitation schedule, as parents should."

Lawsuit To Extradite Kashamu To U.S Still On

The Lagos Division of Appeal Court, on Thursday, reserved judgment in the extradition suit filed by the Federal government of Nigeria, against Mr. Buruji Kashamu, an Ogun State senator.

The Federal Government is seeking the extradition of the senator to the United States of America (USA) to answer criminal charges on drug-related offences.

The three-man panel led by Justice Joseph Ikhegh, reserved judgment in the extradition suit, after parties have adopted their written addresses.

In urging the court to allow Federal Government suit against the senator, Mr. Emeka Ngige (SAN) said the issues raised by the respondent (Kashamu), in his preliminary objection were 'hearsay evidence', which formed the basis of the judgment of the suit at Federal High Court. He also told the court that he had responded to the preliminary objection filed by Kashamu in a brief dated January 24, 2018.

A judge recommended today that President Donald Trump mute rather than block some of his critics from following him on Twitter to resolve a First Amendment lawsuit.

U.S. District Judge Naomi Reice Buchwald suggested a settlement as the preferred outcome after hearing lawyers argue whether it's constitutional for Trump to block some followers.

"Isn't the answer he just mutes the person he finds personally offensive?" she asked. "He can avoid hearing them by muting them."

Sex-Starved Pastor Impregnates Another Woman

A 46-year-old pastor, Joshua Aranse, today told an Alagbado Customary Court in Lagos that he impregnated another woman and abandoned his matrimonial home for four years because of sex starvation.

“I am a pastor and I counsel people. It is true that I abandoned her. For over four years, she did not allow me have sexual intercourse with her.

“This is why I went out of my way to impregnate another woman,” he told the court while reacting to a request by his 42-year-old wife, Funmilayo, who is seeking the dissolution of their 16-year-old marriage over alleged adultery.

The trader, who resides at No. 18, Adebayo Oloye St., Baba Ijebu Bus Stop, Meiran, a Lagos suburb, also alleged that her husband abandoned his matrimonial home between 2010 and 2014.

President Muhammadu Buhari on Thursday in Abuja said Nigerians in the areas affected by Boko Haram insurgency are in the best position to provide correct assessments of the changes that have taken place since he assumed office in 2015.

Receiving a delegation from King Salman of Saudi Arabia at the Presidential Villa, President Buhari said his administration was mindful of the three-pronged promises made to Nigerians before the 2015 elections, assuring that he remained undeterred and focused on securing the lives and properties of all Nigerians.

“From the very time we came until now, we have been able to do our best, and we remain focused on delivering on our promises,’’ he said.
