MKO Abiola's daughter delighted over June 12 as democracy day, says Nigerians did not betray him

The daughter of Late Chief MKO Abiola, the very outspoken Hafsat Abiola-Costello, today was at the Eagle Square, venue of the first National Democracy Day celebration.

Speaking to a Punch correspondent, Mrs Costello said her father did not betray Nigerians and she is glad Nigerians have not betrayed him. She said;

“Today is the fulfillment of my father’s vision. He trusted the Nigerian people that they would always defend him.

“He could not betray them and today we could see that Nigerians have not betrayed MKO Abiola.

“President Buhari made this day Democracy Day which should have been done since 1999. This shows that the spirit of June 12 is what we should expect in this administration.”

The good Legacy your father had put down helped him to be enjoying all this benefit. some you can't right good thing about them because they have no character and good motive. let me drop my pen here. This is just a lesson to everyone of us, be good to people around you, do not be like is me and my family alone, MKO, might not have deserve this
