Archie's godmother 'revealed' after people spot huge clue at Meghan Markle's fashion event

When Meghan Markle and Prince Harry had their baby boy Archie Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor christened they decided to keep important details normally made public secret.

While other royals tell the world who they've picked to be the proud godparents and allow a select group of photographs to be there as they arrive for the celebrations, the couple made everything about the day completely private.

Apart from a couple of official photos we still know very little about the day, but according to a royal expert Meghan gave another big hint about one of her son's godparents at the launch of her Smart Works collection.

The Duchess returned to work after her maternity leave with an impressive rooftop event in London to celebrate her five-piece Smart Set collection, which she created in partnership with Marks & Spencer, John Lewis, Jigsaw and her designer friend Misha Nonoo.

Royal expert and writer Katie Nicholl was at the event, and spotted a very important face among the other guests.

She told Entertainment Tonight: "I was there at the launch and spotted in the audience Isabel May.

"Who is in fact Archie’s Godmother although that’s been kept very, very quiet.

"She’s a great friend of the Duchess’ and of course she would have known all about this launch."

It's not the first time Isabel's name has been thrown around as a possible godmother for little Archie, who is seventh in line to the throne.

She is the former director of communications at Burberry, and was introduced to Meghan by mutual friend Markus Anderson, the director of their favourite hangout Soho House.

A source previously told the Mail on Sunday : “While they keep their relationship very quiet, Izzy is one of Meghan's closest and dearest friends and she values her friendship so very much.

"She helped Meghan adjust to lift in London when she moved here, and Meghan relied on her a lot. They totally support each other and, like any other female friends, enjoy social activities together."
