Boris Johnson’s pregnant fiancée Carrie Symonds has showed off her ring – and many fans reckon it was inspired by the late Diana, Princess of Wales.
Yesterday marked Carrie’s first appearance at a major public event since announcing her pregnancy.
The PM’s love, 31, caught the eye of onlookers with her twinkling rock on attendance with the politician, 55, for the Commonwealth Day Service 2020 on Monday.
Carrie’s engagement ring has an emerald at the heart of the design, surrounded by a dazzling array of diamonds.
The stunning ring has a striking resemblance to Princess Diana’s ring, which had a blue sapphire as the centrepiece and now sits on the left hand of Kate Middleton, the Duchess of Cambridge.
It’s the very same ring which sparked a trend of alternative gemstones as the main gem nestled among diamonds.
Prince William started the trend when he popped the question to Kate with his mother’s ring in 2010.
