Rapper Slim Thug tests positive to COVID-19 despite staying inside and using mask

Rapper Slim Thug has tested positive for coronavirus amid the outbreak.

But the musician, 39, took to Instagram to warn others after he fell ill despite following precautions with masks, gloves and "everything on".

The rapper - who has the real name Stayve Jerome Thomas - also said he had stayed in his truck but still managed to contract the deadly virus.

He said: “So check this out, no games being played.

“The other day I got tested for the coronavirus yesterday and it came back positive. As careful as I been self-quarantine and staying home… I might went and got something to eat or did some simple stuff like that.

“Nothing crazy, stayed in my truck, had masks, gloves, everything on and my test came back positive."

Slim Thug insisted his fans had to take the killer bug "seriously" by sitting at home in self-quarantine.

The rapper urged his following to avoid going outside for as long as possible.
