Nigerians have reacted to the viral report of AMCON taking over Toke Makinwa’s Banana Island mansion.
The news of the take over went viral this afternoon and it’s looking very true.
On July 2, the Asset Management Corporation of Nigeria (AMCON) had seized assets belonging to Mr Festus Fadeyi and Pan Ocean Group. The corporation said they were holding on to debt of over N240 billion.
The news that went viral however today is that, the OAP’s luxury home is part of the property said to have been listed among Fadeyi’s assets that was seized.
The property is believed to be a gift from the man. But the OAP says it’s hers and even recently said she bought it at the age of 35.
Sometime ago, children believed to be that of Mr Fadeyi had called the media personality out, asking her to leave their father. Below are some of the reactions making the round.
“Which of your daddies bought house for Toke Makinwa on credit and now AMCON has repossessed the house?,” a Twitter user asked.
”AMCON took over Toke Makinwa‘s ‘house’? Baby girl should have put her name on the property yo😭”, another wrote.
”So it’s Festus Fadeyi! Interesting. I remember his children called out Toke Makinwa few years ago to leave their father alone. That the man was spending a lot of money on her while being heavily indebted to Skye Bank. Kai. Men are Scum,” another concerned Nigerian wrote on twitter.
”Toke Makinwa, “A woman should be independent and have her own things”.
Oga Festus Fadeyi: I’ll send you some money for upkeep, it’s 200M okay?
Frustrated Nigerian Girls: Time Makinwa is my ROAD Model ooo,” another wrote.
”If you ask Toke makinwa the source of her lifestyle, she will say its hardwork….lol… If nah so the hard work take dey pay, all of us for don buy house for Lekki nah,” a female user wrote.
”This is the part where all these Twitter feminists rally around Toke Makinwa to help buy her another house in Banana Island. Amen?😂”, a male user wrote.
