Trump finally lets Biden begin presidential transition, appears to admit defeat

President Trump finally gave Joe Biden the green light to begin his transition to the White House on Monday, marking the clearest sign yet that the incumbent understands he lost the election.

In a tweet, Trump said he’s “recommending” Emily Murphy, his handpicked administrator of the General Services Administration, sign the appropriate papers that allow Biden’s transition team to access the government resources that the president has been holding up while waging a baseless legal battle to overturn the results of the election.

Still, Trump cryptically insisted that his case for subverting the election “STRONGLY continues.”

“We will keep up the good fight, and I believe we will prevail!” Trump tweeted. “Nevertheless, in the best interest of our Country, I am recommending that Emily and her team do what needs to be done with regard to initial protocols, and have told my team to do the same.”
