Chris Ezem, Secretary to the State Government, made the announcement in a statement on Sunday.
The suspension takes immediate effect.
Ezem said the Permanent Secretary, Government House, Alozie Odoemelam, will assume the Chief of Staff position until further notice.
However, there are speculations from various quarters that Ikpeazu took the decision after a video of Agbazuere surfaced on the internet.
In the clip, the ex-aide is seen spraying money on a cleric, Chukwuemeka Ohanaemere, popularly known as Odumeje.
Nigerians are condemning Agbazuere and the Abia government for the “show off”.
Odumeje (aka ‘Indaboski Bahose’, ‘Liquid Metal’, among others) is the leader of Mountain of Holy Ghost Intervention Deliverance Ministry.

As a Governor, there must be a culture of ethical behaviors for every politically appointed person. The Governor must set that tone.

You cannot be dancing, and spraying money for the cameras in your office. That's a bad reflection on the office of the Governor of Abia state.2/3 pic.twitter.com/ZFKSqqN6QA
