A gigantic alligator has been spotted stomping across a golf course in Florida – prompting utter disbelief on social media.  

The dinosaur-like beast with huge legs and tail was ‘out for a stroll’ on Wednesday as the area was swept up in Hurricane Eta.  

The extreme weather appeared to have prompted extreme animals to come out of hiding. 

‘That is Godzilla that is not a gator,’ said one viewer of the video which was posted from his buggy by golfer Jeff Jones at Valencia Golf and Country Club in Naples.

Trump supporters march in Washington to contest US election results

Thousands of Donald Trump supporters rallied in Washington today, with the president making a drive-past in his motorcade as he sticks to discredited claims that mass fraud denied him election victory.

Marchers close to the White House greeted Trump’s brief appearance with wild cheers, waving and whistles, holding signs and flags saying “Best prez ever,” “Stop the steal” and “Trump 2020: Keep America Great.”

Several thousand people had gathered by noon on the city’s Freedom Plaza, with more still arriving from all sides, waving flags and shouting “Four More Years” in a festive atmosphere reminiscent of a Trump rally.

#EndSARS: Army denies hunting DJ Switch, says she was chasing clout

The Nigerian Army emphatically denied that it has mounted a manhunt for DJ Switch, who alleged soldiers killed between 7 and 15 protesters at the Lekki Toll Gate.

On Saturday, Commander of the 81 Military Intelligence Brigade, Brigadier Ahmed Taiwo, said the claims that soldiers were looking for DJ Switch were “further from the truth”.

Taiwo was given evidence at the judicial enquiry looking into the Lekki Toll Gate shooting and police atrocities.

DJ Switch, who has now fled to Canada, streamed the shooting by soldiers of unarmed protesters on the night of 20 October.

EndSARS: Sanwo-Olu invited military because police ran away – Army General to Lagos panel

Brig. Gen. Ahmed Taiwo of the Nigerian Army has alleged that Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu invited the military during the EndSARS in Lagos to avoid total anarchy.

Taiwo is the Commander, 81 Military Intelligence Brigade, Victoria Island.

He spoke on Saturday when he appeared before the Lagos Judicial Panel on SARS.

The panel is also probing the Lekki toll plaza shooting by soldiers on October 20, 2020.

Croatia centre-back Domagoj Vida was substituted at half-time in the 3-3 friendly draw with Turkey on Wednesday after testing positive for Covid-19.

The ongoing League season in Albania has not been rosy for KF Tirana which made the management of the club to decide on firing the Nigerian coach.

Harry Kane's £100,000 Range Rover reportedly stolen

England captain Harry Kane’s Range Rover has been stolen from outside an address in east London, according to reports.

Thieves used an electronic device to open the Tottenham striker’s £100,000 car in Chingford before making off with it, The Sun newspaper said.

The Metropolitan Police said it received a report of a theft of a vehicle from outside a residential property in the Chingford area on October 25.

“Officers contacted the victim and carried out inquiries. No suspects were identified,” a statement from the force said.

Just In: Army officers arrive Lagos Judicial Panel venue, to show Lekki shooting footage

Officers of the Nigerian Army, 81 Division have arrived at the Lagos Court of Arbitration, venue of the probe into the alleged shooting of #EndSARS protesters by soldiers, on October 20 at the Lekki toll gate in Lagos.

Following a summon by the retired Justice Doris Okuwobi-led Judicial Panel of Inquiry, the Army had submitted the names of three Lieutenant Generals and a Lieutenant Colonel, who will testify before the panel.

The Army, which vehemently denied shooting at or killing any of the protesting youths, had also told the panel that it was ready to show videos capturing its activities at the toll gate on that night.

The military officers are led by the Commander of 81 Military Intelligence Brigade, Victoria Island, Lagos, Brig. Gen. Ahmed Taiwo.

In the final part of her interview with Ebuka Obi-Uchendu, host of the BBNaija show, the 40-year-old mother of one said she is opened to both options due to fears for stretch marks or cesarean section (CS).

“Oh, God! I don’t know. If it’s God’s will, we’ll get a surrogate ‘cause I don’t want any more stretch marks or CS. It’s something I’m open to. I also want to adopt. I’m really open to that,” she said.

“If I don’t have enough of my own, I definitely would want to adopt. I don’t know how soon. I haven’t really thought of it. It has always been a dream to open my home to someone a baby or child who doesn’t have a home.

FG inaugurates robotics, artificial intelligence centre

The Federal Government has inaugurated the National Centre for Artificial Intelligence and Robotics.

Minister of Communications and Digital Economy, Isa Pantami, who inaugurated the centre in Abuja, said the inauguration was in line with the digital skills acquisition drive of government as captured in the National Economic Development Policy and Strategy.

He said the centre was the first of its kind in Nigeria and was implemented by the National Information Technology Development Agency based on its mandate.

He said, “The global paradigm shift from mere paper qualifications to proven skills, particularly digital skills, has necessitated the establishment of a high tech skill acquisition centre such as this.

Al-Qaeda’s second-in-command secretly killed in Iran

Al-Qaeda’s second-in-command, indicted in the US for the 1998 bombings of its embassies in Tanzania and Kenya, was secretly killed in Iran in August, The New York Times reported on Friday.

Abdullah Ahmed Abdullah, who was on the FBI’s list of most wanted terrorists, was shot and killed in Tehran by two Israeli operatives on a motorcycle at the behest of the United States, intelligence officials confirmed to the Times.

The attack, which took place on August 7 on the anniversary of the Africa bombings, has not been publicly acknowledged by the US, Iran, Israel or Al-Qaeda.

The senior Qaeda leader, who went by the nom de guerre Abu Muhammad al-Masri, was killed along with his daughter, Miriam, the widow of Osama bin Laden’s son Hamza bin Laden, the Times said.

Yellow fever kills 76 in Bauchi, Delta and Enugu states

About 76 persons have been confirmed dead in 222 clusters of yellow fever outbreaks in Bauchi, Delta and Enugu states, the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control has said.

But the organisation said its multi-agency yellow fever technical working group has been coordinating the prevention, preparedness and response activities of the disease.

The NCDC gave the figures in its Yellow Fever Situation Report with Serial Number 001 as of November 11, on the clusters of outbreaks in Bauchi, Delta and Enugu states, issued on Friday night.

The report said, “On November 1, 2 and 8, clusters of cases and deaths were reported to the NCDC by the State Epidemiologists of Delta, Enugu and Bauchi states, respectively. Seventy-four suspected cases with 35 deaths were reported from Delta State; 70 suspected cases with 33 deaths from Enugu State; and 78 suspected cases with eight deaths from Bauchi State.

15-year-old Cotonou maid is r.a.p.e.d and impregnated in Lagos, now stranded at LUTH over N53k bill

A 15-year-old girl identified simply as Fatima is troubled at the moment being at the Lagos University Teaching Hospital Idi-Araba a month after giving birth.

She was said to have been taken to the hospital by a woman, popularly known as Iya Kamoru, whom she lived with as a maid in the Mushin area of Lagos.

The hospital reportedly cancelled Fatima’s N151,000 medical bills and asked her to pay N53,000 feeding expenses incurred as of November 10.

Outgoing U.S. President Donald Trump has finally broken his silence, admitting indirectly that he has lost the election to Joe Biden.

Vera Uwaila Omozuwa, the 22-year-old undergraduate who was r.a.p.e d and murdered inside a Redeemed Christian Church of God in Benin, Edo state, has been laid to rest on friday, November 13.

It would be recalled that Omozuwa, who was a 100-level microbiology undergraduate at the University of Benin, had gone to Church to read during the Covid-19 lockdown when she was brutally attacked.

Mohammed Salah tests positive again, alongside three players from Togo, Egypt

Man murders his wife and daughter, sleeps with their bodies before he was arrested

A dad has been sentenced to death after murdering his pregnant wife and four-year-old-daughter, then sleeping with their bodies for a week.

Teo Ghim Heng, 45, strangled Choong Pei Shan, 39, with a towel after arguing with her about finances.

After murdering his wife, who was six months pregnant, Heng decided to kill their daughter, Zi Ning, who cried as she was strangled to death, according to Channel News Asia.

The vicious brute was found guilty of two counts of murder and was sentenced to death in Singapore on November 12.

Trump suffers triple disasters in court, same day

Outgoing US President Donald Trump suffered a triple of legal setbacks on Friday, even as he continues to make his case that the election was ‘rigged’ and that he will prevail.

The latest bad news for the president came in Michigan.

16 #EndSARS campaigners sue CBN governor to get accounts unfrozen

Sixteen #EndSARS campaigners are seeking a court order to overturn the freezing of their accounts by the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN).

The CBN had frozen the accounts of 20 #EndSARS campaigners through an ex-parte order obtained from Justice Ahmed Mohammed on 20 October.

In a supporting affidavit, the apex bank alleged that the #EndSARS campaigners may have received their funding through acts of terrorism and asked the judge to swiftly freeze the accounts.

Sixteen of those affected have now asked a Federal High Court in Abuja to cancel the restriction placed on their accounts.

70-year-old man ‘impregnates’ granddaughter in Ogun

Men of Ogun State Police Command have arrested a 70-year- old man, Hunsu Sunday, for allegedly impregnating his 15-year-old granddaughter.

Sunday was arrested on Tuesday following a complaint by the aunt of the victim to the police.

The Police Public Relations Officer in the state, Abimbola Oyeyemi, disclosed this on Friday in a statement.

Oyeyemi said the aunt lodged the complaint at Ado-Odo/Ota divisional headquarters that the victim has been living with her grandfather since the demise of her mother.
