Traders count losses as midnight fire guts timber market

A midnight fire has gutted the Timber market in the Marine Base axis of Port-Harcourt.

It was gathered that the fire began from the casket section of the market around midnight before spreading into the early hours of Thursday.

No fire fighters have been moblilised to the scene of the inferno, which has left shop owners and traders with massive losses.

Most shops and goods in the market have been razed.
