Two days after Bishop David Oyedepo rained curses on Fulani herdsmen and terrorists, gunmen stormed Living Faith Church in Kogi and abducted church members.
The gunmen reportedly stormed the church while rehearsal was going on and abducted three members.
On arriving the church, the gunmen reportedly shot sporadically into the air before abducting the victims.
Chairman of Adavi Local Government Council, Joseph Omuya Salami confirmed the kidnap of three Living Faith members by gunmen.
Salami, who spoke through his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Habeeb Jamiu, said before now, the council had held series of meetings with the people of Osara Community and the entire farm centre.
According to him, he told members of the community to restrict every night activities for now, and that whoever wanted to hold any activity in the night should get the appropriate quarters informed.
He said he also told them to get their approval to ensure that adequate security was provided, but that out of their disobedience, the church members chose otherwise.
Oyedepo had on Sunday rained curses on those he called the Fulani vagabonds, making life impossible for local people.
“The Fulani vagabonds are making life impossible for local people and the government claims not to know”, Oyedepo said
“Many destinies have been unsettled by the unsettlement in the nation”, he added before delivering the curses.
“For the blood of many that they have wasted, their generations will pay for it. The error this nation made in 2015 will never be repeated forever. The God of vengeance is rising in defence of this nation today,” said.
